I truly believe sound can resonate/tap into our emotions and feelings so I have been on a search for the best sound system that would allow me to trully experience in an immersive way the sounds that I listen to. Even though i am long time fan of Samsung technology and engineering when it comes to something like a speaker system. I didn't want to compromise just because of the brain. Luckily out of the systems i have tried, the Samsung Q990F came on top and is by far the best. This system delivers a clean and esthetic look, easy setup and moreover is compatible with most devices and brands. More importantly, it delivers what it claims to do, a clean and crisp DolbyAtmos suround sound with an unmatched bass coming from the subwoofer that would make your house feel like it is part of the movie you're watching or music you're listening to. For the price, there's nothing better out there than the Samsung Q990F!

Looking to replace home theater system that we have had for years, a 7-speaker system driven by a Sony receiver and Bose speakers, all connected by hard wire speaker cable. Audio effects and sound were excellent however we always experienced issues with hearing voices clearly without turning up the volume and subsequently the background noise of whatever we were watching. I reviewed and shopped around between the Sony Sound Bar (since we have Sony TV), Bose Soundbar, and Samsung Soundbar. I finally chose the Samsung Q Series HW-Q990F 11.1.4 ch w/Subwoofer and Rear Speakers. All three systems are highly rated. The appeal of the Samsung System was definitely the price and included the Subwoofer and Rear Speakers. Otherwise purchasing these extra components would have occurred much higher expense than the price of the Samsung Q-990F Series Soundbar. I am glad I made the choice of Samsung because it also had the HDMI inputs to connect the DVD and Satellite System, so everything is routed through the Soundbar. I would not have been able to do that through the Sony Soundbar. So far, we have been very happy with the sound output and sound effects of a theater experience. Particularly the voices come through much better even without switching the "Voice Enhanced Mode". Certainly, I would recommend to anyone choosing the Samsung Soundbar Q990F

Huge upgrade in sound frame just TV speakers. Movie theater level sound every time we watch movies. Very easy to use and customize with the Samsung app via a smartphone. I would highly recommend this sound system from BestBuy!

Though it took a little longer than hoped to get rear speakers to sync (turns out must be in direct line of sight), once all speakers were connected, I have been thrilled with the performance and sound of the HW-Q990F soundbar! It replaced a 19 year old system with all separate components wired to an excellent Yamaha receiver. I wanted wireless rear speakers, and this was the most elegant solution. Only slight quibble is that the woofer doesn't boom the bass like my (twice as large) older one did, but it does fit with the overall sound extremely well. Turned it up to 50% once with some music, my wife yelled from 3 rooms away it was too loud! Overall, I can highly recommend this system to anyone!

I’m very impressed with the Samsung Q990F sound system. It was easy to assemble and connected seamlessly with my LG TV. The sound quality is absolutely amazing — clear, powerful, and immersive. Movies, music, and even regular TV shows sound incredible. Highly recommend this system for anyone looking to upgrade their home theater experience

I really enjoy this set. The sound is out of this world! I thought that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference—boy, was I wrong! I recommend this soundbar to anyone who doesn’t have one. The way they all synchronize wirelessly was a huge plus for me. I feel like I’m actually inside the TV! Great buy!

Great sound that adapts to my room for watching movies or playing games. The wireless connection allows for me to easily experiment with speaker location. I highly recommend this sound system especially if you have a Q Series Samsung TV.

Great Sound! I moved into a new home and did not have the room to accommodate My Yamaha Home Receiver and my Klipsch Tower Speakers next to the TV area. Read the other reviews from others so I decided to give this a try. Blown away how loud and clear the sound is. The dual 8” subwoofer puts out the sound. Overall I’m please with the sound. This thing rocks watching the 4K Maverick! My living room area is probably a 30x30 and the sound rocks it anywhere. Also download the SmartThings App to control the Soundbar easier. Get you a 4K/8K quality HDMI Cable to work the sound over or with your TV. I paired mine with the LG S5 Series TV. No issues.

Awesome sound system! It’s like they are in the same room as us. We had an older Samsung surround sound system and this is quite the upgrade. I love there are no thin speaker wires!

My Q990F is a wonderful improvement! Six years ago I purchased a 55” Samsung TV along with a soundbar. I wanted to upgrade the soundbar a bit with surround but was having difficulty finding a true wireless system. It seems all are called wireless but really have a thin wire that connect the rear speakers to each other. Why do they do this? Dogs, cats, people, vacuums can all get caught up in this wire running across the floor. You do have to plug each of the 990’s surround speakers into a power outlet but there is no wire running between them. And the quality of the sound and the separation of the channels is great too!

I have only had my speaker set since August 1, 2025, just a little less than a month, but these speakers have changed my life! The sound is amazing. I have always enjoyed a theater experience as far as sound goes, but lacked the ability to really hear the voices together with the experience. Now I can!! I can't review anything about shipping because I picked up my speakers from Best Buy. The speakers were easy to set up. Highly recommend!

Picked up as part of the black friday deal. Best money sepnt on a surround sound system. Paired it to my QN85B. Not only good for surround sound music quality suprised me with deep bass and nice trebble and mid tones. Excellent for watching movies and listening to music.
