The cases gives the phone the notepad-esque look that I appreciate. Dropped my phone a few times and no damage yet, besides some scratches on the case.

I really dont think it would protect your phone from a drop but it will protect it if you put your phone in your pocked or especially in a purse from getting it scratched. It does not have a place to carry any kind of cards like some other cases do. Many people see it and say they really like it
