I ended up getting this phone because my zte grand x4 phone got broken. I had the samsung galaxy express prime for a while then something happened to that too. I would say this phone is for a person that wants the space, can take decent pictures and for someone who doesn't want to spend a whole ton just for a phone. If you want a 13 mp camera or greater you'll have to look for another phone. I haven't tried to take a picture on this yet but I'm planning to soon. What I like: - If you used another phone before and your transfer it over all the wifi passwords will be saved so you don't need to put it in. - Animated gifs for a profile picture for contacts and status. - Themes and yes they have free themes if you don't want to pay money just search free in the search bar. - You get android oreo. - You actually get updates for your phone. - Able to block people after you hang up if it's a telemarketer or that annoying friend you actually hate with a burning passion. What I don't like: - I bought another phone for 80 dollars and got a 13 mp camera and a fingerprint reader. The pros outweigh the cons really.

This is my first smartphone. I've had it about two weeks. My learning curve is steep, so I have not learned even some of the basic functions yet. But I do like it a lot. Voices are clear. Photos look good to me and I have learned to send them by message to friends. The battery life is very good and I only use about 25% of the battery each day. Occasionally, I get stuck in a screen and don't know what to do. I'm just not familiar enough with the functions to know where to look. So I go on the internet and ask a question on how to do something. I can then achieve my goals. But I didn't even know how to answer the phone when it rang. I kept trying to just touch the screen and nothing happened. I had to ask someone how to answer the phone. I didn't know what swiping was. I think this is a good phone for me to learn on. Also it was not too expensive for me and gives me more than enough functions to keep up with technology.

First New Android cell phone I've ever purchased

I like to start by saying, this is my first and only new Android cell phone I've ever purchased. So, with that said, everything with this phone is good. I'm still learning all the functionalities because my last cell phone was over 10 yrs old and all I did was place calls, send texts and took pictures. I haven't even listened to music yet to see how the speakers sound. What I do know is that Samsung makes a good product as my last cell phone was the Samsung tundra flip phone and that phone was durable and lasted a long time. so, as I come of age again with new technology, learning with Samsung (that won't require a new phone every yr), will be enjoyable. Oh, I did choose this cell phone for starters on 3 points based on (written, YouTube, & product comparisons) reviews, 1. good camera ( front & rear), 2. good brand recognition, and 3. price, on sales for less that $100. As I learn the other basic functionalities of this cell phone, this will add to enjoying this phone more and more.

I got this updated version because it has 16gb of memory and my older one only has 8gb. I used the samsung smart switch app to transfer everything from old phone to new phone. Everything works fine for a few days and then it doesn't show my contacts name when calling them or them calling me. It only shows the phone number. I've had to factory reset the phone about 5 times now and I still get the same problem. It seems to happen after an app update but I don't know for sure. Also, the camera app freezes when taking video if it's set to store on sd card. However doesn't seem to freeze if it's set to device storage. Very disappointed. I transferred everything back to old phone and now I have no use for this phone.

Its download speeds suck. 5-15 mps but the phone performance is good. I was getting 20-50 mps with my Nexus 5X. I'm getting 2-3 days battery life or about 5 hrs of screen on time without battery saver on. No NFC Camera isnt great Not HD Headphone out has feedback Does not have a Ambient light sensor The good: Battery life Easy to find screen protectors and case for Good anti-finger print or smudge resistance. The price was great for something I'll keep a year

The best inexpensive phone I've ever purchased. Gets 2 days on battery but doesn't fast charge in any way. I used a smart watch so 2 days is with always connected device. Also managed 81 mb download speed so network connection was reliable and fast. Speakerphone is loud and clear. The only complaint I have is, camera sucks big time. Can't take low light photos and show shutter. Headphone quality is not great, use Bluetooth instead. Updates from Samsung were pretty slow.

This is a GREAT phone for people who are not incredibly "tech savvy" and yet want many of the features a more "high-tech", expensive cell phone has. It is very intuitive to use, screen clarity sparkles, responsiveness is top notch. The screen size is perfect - not too big, not too small. I cannot say enough positive about this phone...can't really think of any negatives. Best Buy phone sales was excellent in helping me activate and partially set up! Would HIGHLY recommend this phone and Best Buy!

This phone works with my AT&T prepay program. It has adequate memory and gives me the tools I need; phone, text, front/rear camera. My plan provides me sufficient data to do those things I want such as navigation, web page browse, etc. The phone plan, plus this phone are perfect for my needs. The cost was absolutely within my budget. I do not use it like a tablet so cannot speak to that purpose. Why pay more?

My husband is hard on phones, but still needs something to meet his basic needs since he is home alone during the day. He talks alot on the phone, reads and writes a few texts, and sometimes takes a few pictures. The size is comfortable in his big hand and the phone with a cover is pretty sturdy. He drops his phone often so I felt something that I could buy for cash is better for him than something that would probably not outlast a payment contract.

The phone has good battery storage. Therefore, it does not have to be charged very often. It is easy to learn how to use. It is a very sturdy phone. It does not have all the bells and whistles that more advanced phones but serves the individual who only is interested in talking or texting primarily. But it does have more advanced applications as the user wants to expand his or her abilities.

My old phone looked like it had been through several car accidents and I was in the market for an affordable non-contract phone. The Best Buy rep actually went silent when she saw my phone Lol! She gave me the pros and cons of each and actually recommended this phone for my needs. This phone is perfect for me. I am trying to figure out I have the video call option....but over all I'm very pleased.

After years of high end smartphones, the last around $900, I am done. This smartphone, at $100 is PERFECT. It does everything that I want and need. Wish I had done this a long time ago and saved all of the wasted money. I put this on a $44.10 per month AT&T account with unlimited talk, text and 6gb of data. Save your money and purchase this phone!!

This phone is amazing for a cheap temporary or even long term phone. It comes with amazing features like Dolby Atmos, loud sound, android 8.0.0, and bixby. I highly recommend this if your looking for something cheap. For the tech people, i got a benchmark score of 45,448 on antutu which is not bad for the price. I have a more expensive phone that i had problems with and it benchmark about 39,000

Purchase as a direct replacement for a broken screen sm-j327a. it can't even be updated to 8.1 which my old device was on. Making my google backup unusable. Why would Samsung make a device that can't install a newer O/S that my 1-year-old phone? Support was no help either. I spend 3 hours the other evening and was hung up on twice. Thank you, Samsung for ruining my android experience. Back to apple I go.

My daughter's expensive phone bit the dust. I did not want to pay hundreds for another phone. I chose this one and entered her sim card from her previous phone. There was no need to contact customer service or extensive steps to complete. This phone was a fraction of the price I would usually pay and she is just as happy with it as the more expensive options.

Paid $100, very satisfied with the value in this purchase. I have an Iphone 6 with battery troubles. New Battery is on a 6 week back order. I bought this phone as a temporary replacement. I'm leaning towards keeping this as my primary. Wish I would have known about this phone before spending Hundreds more on my Iphone.

Its a good phone for a beginner or if you are on a budget. You get a Andoid 8.0 OS, 16 GB of storage, decent processor & decent front camera, its responsive. It's NOT for hard core gamer's. Small things that I don't like. 1. It doesn't have LED indicator on the front. 2. You can't put it on mute with the volume controls. 3. No finger scanner.

I got this phone to replace an older version. The setup was as easy as swapping the SIM card (and SD card) and then restoring contacts from my gmail account. There is also an app to transfer all of the previously installed apps and data. Has the latest version of android, lots of improved features.

Bought this phone to use while Samsung fixed my S7 active. I like this phone so much I probably won't use my other phone when I get it back. This phone takes good pictures. Nice screen very clear. I like the fact I was able to make the keyboard bigger. Overall it's a decent phone for the price.
