Monitor is awesome but you can't take the base off to hang on desk mounts.

Nice crisp picture with good color. Only negative is that stand is not height adjustable.

This monitor provides sharp images, saturated color, and nice brightness. Only gripe is the stand, which is limited in adjustability, Otherwise, a good purchase overall.

This was a nice, inexpensive monitor with a great picture. If I could knock it, it cannot be adjusted up/down and stands pretty tall to begin with.

I don't do much gaming but for the work I do mostly in Microsoft office this monitor was worth it. I went ahead and bought 2 while on sale. My only knock is the stands they come with aren't great. So much so that when I'm typing often times the monitor gently shakes. So either I'm typing extremely hard or the stand is weak. I'm thinking the latter

Graphics are high quality with great display color. Only minor issue would be that its on a stand and not adjustable.

Great value. Base is not the most stable. Make sure you have the adjustment tight

The only issue I had is the design/placement of the stand. I had to review a youtube video to take the cover apart to remove the stand holder so I could use the VESA mount. I was apparently not cautious enough as I cracked the at bot the upper right and left corners. It works fine, just annoys me that I cracked the case.

I installed 4 of these in a clients office used for dual monitor setups. Great monitor for the price. The only draw back I had was the part of the stand where it attaches to the monitor is not removable & was in the way for the dual monitor mounting arms I used. Just had to customize mount bracket a little.

I needed a new monitor with Vesa mounting holes. This one fit the bill and has been an excellent monitor. 4 stars instead of 5 because you cannot remove the plastic piece on the bottom when mounting it and not using the base. Doesn't affect functionality, but strictly cosmetic

I was looking for a quick pick-up monitor for my desktop and went into the Cary store. I'm not a tech person at all and the sales rep was very helpful and patient. But, he told me this was an IPC monitor and its a LCD. Also, the monitor itself, although having a great picture and color has a non-adjustable stand so the height can't be adjusted on my desk and I find myself raising my head and getting a sore neck after a short time. I would recommend this product but with a caution that the stand in not adjustable. And the sales rep should mention these drawbacks to the prospective buyer as well.

    Really annoying monitor stand hinge

I bought this monitor for 1 reason - to mount to a dual monitor display. The entire point was to mount it. I did research and other answers on here said that you can mount it. If you have some super weird mount, it might just work. But I have a standard mount size (2 different sizes optional) but it won't work. There is a stupid "stand hinge" in the way that CAN NOT BE REMOVED. Who at Samsung drew this design and thought "this is a great idea!" ?! I did look it up, and if you want to take the entire back panel off (which is not simply unscrewing the back and the article even mentions to be careful not to break it) THEN you can try and remove the hinge. Otherwise, 99% of mounts won't work. To be clear, I did not try and use the monitor. If you don't need to mount it, then disregard this review. It may work beautifully if you don't need to mount it. Mounting was my primary reason for getting a new monitor.

    Excellent Monitor But Misleading

The display on the monitor is excellent and the size is perfect. If you're not mounting it with a VESA mount, you will have no issues. The problem is that although the monitor states that it can be mounted and has holes for the mount, it cannot be mounted. The piece the stand inserts into cannot be removed and does not allow a mount to reach the back holes. In addition, you would have the stand insert visible under the bottom of the screen after mounting it. The internet tells me that I could take the back panel off and remove this, but why would I want to do that? Samsung, if you want it to be mountable, make it mountable. Don't make me void my warranty just to mount it. So, I returned it and went with an ASUS monitor that has no obstructions to the mounting holes.

    About the complaints.....

VGA really isn't needed anymore, and the included cable is just to get rid of obsolete stuff.... Beyond that, the main complaint I saw was about tilt. I needed to replace an old monitor from Samsung that lasted well beyond the expected life expectancy, so I wanted to stick with samsung. The stand does feel cheap as heck (told inappropriate language), and seemed like no tilt. Saw it on display at another place (BB didn't have it on display when I bought it), and decided, not my item, let me see what it can do.... The tilt is fine. The stand makes you paranoid to try it, but there is a hinge where the stand "plugs" in. Perfect and expected up/down tilt compared to all the monitors I've had over the last 30 years. Out of box, I thought it didn't tilt because the resistance is a bit more than expected, and the stand is flimsier than previous ones. Sharpness/brightness way too high for my liking, but easily adjusted. The monitor controller is simple to use, but a bit awkward. Think d-pad on back of monitor. Overall, really a good monitor for the money, when cost is more important than conveniences (as is usually the case for myself @@@@@@@
