Apparently it doesn't work with the google home mini so now I just have a regular light bulb. The quality is really bright and perfect to light up a room

The SmartThings Smart Bulb does require a SmartThings Hub or a device with SmartThings Hub functionality in order to connect to the SmartThings App. Once the Smart Bulb has been connected to a SmartThings Hub and the SmartThings App, you can link your SmartThings to Google Assistant to use with your Google Home Mini.
