I'm wanting to give this 5 stars, but just can't yet. First I had trouble getting it to wash decent. I went back in to the store and talked with the sales rep, who gave me some advice as to what to use for all the wash settings. That seemed to help, but still am having some trouble with soap streaks. After the door pops open, the dishes are quite wet, so I end up having to blot up some of the water. I was also noticing a musty smell when I opened the door. I found on the bottom, there's a screen with some type of round filter(?) that had standing water that hadn't drained. I don't know if this is common or the dishwasher isn't draining properly. Geek squad is coming out to take a look at it. It's also a bit smaller inside than my previous dishwasher, so I'm having to be creative in getting the dishes in without overloading it. I bought the whole 4 piece appliance set and so far, this is the one I'm not really happy with....yet. BTW, I'm using Finish Dish Soap and Jet Dry.

My wife and I were looking to replace our old dishwasher that just wasn't doing the job. She insisted on getting this Samsung model because it matched our other appliances. I wasn't sold on the automatic opening at the end of the cycle or the reviews. Initially I wasn't happy, the detergent door leaked and was eventually replaced (Geek Squad) . Then the leak sensor in the bottom of the unit was triggered with what I am guessing was leftover water. I fixed that one myself because I didn't want to wait. Since then I have enjoyed the Samsung. It does a great job on the dishes and has many wash options. The one issue is that the cycles are very long....not sure how that compares to other models/brands.

I’ve had this dishwasher for almost a year now. I have had no problems thus far. But the only complaints I have is the rail system for the racks. For the price paid, and it’s not a cheap unit, the rail system really sucks. Pulling out the racks should be smooth. But the rails on this (I think all Samsung dishwashers) use terrible rail systems that stick or need more effort to pull out. Other than that, it’s a nice dishwasher. But if I could do it all over again, I would not have picked a Samsung for the rail system.

We got this one to match our other kitchen appliances but I was unsure about how well it would work. It is nice looking and matches our fridge, stove and microwave combo thingy, but I don't like it. Things broke right away or the holders and rollers fell off or won't stay. I am constantly having to place those things in again and I can't get one of the rollers to stay on. It doesn't hold as much things either. It's just meh, but at least I don't have to wash things by hand, right?

We’ve had this for a few months now and I’m not 100% satisfied. Sometimes I feel like our old dishwasher cleans better. You definitely can’t overload it...actually barely put anything it at all or it doesn’t clean well. Also, we have found that if you don’t get the dishes out right away, they will grow some mold. Have to stay on top of unloading it soon after it is completed the wash cycle. Hopefully some of it is in the settings, but overall not as pleased as I thought I would be since we love Samsung products so much.

Quiet Dishwasher. Run time for normal cycle is very long (over 2.5 hours). Door automatically pops open at end of dry cycle to complete drying. You cannot view stage of wash cycle once machine is started and we have had several instances where we thought we started the wash cycle only to find out when we returned home that it did not start and/or stopped midway through a cycle. Lower rack does not always slide in and out smoothly and there are no fold down adjustments for optional loading.

Gets dishes clean. Not thrilled with the racks. I had 3 racks on my old dishwasher never a problem, this one if you don't have the middle rack high enough it hits the dishes, but then you have to watch how you load the middle shelf because it then hits the top rack. Weird how it pops open when done but works good and is quiet. I think it because the middle rack is curved or something.

Went back and forth about this and a maytag for a while I have Black Stainless LG appliances, but didn't like the reviews on the LG and even thought the Maytag had amazing reviews I went with the Samsung because their was no name on the front of the machine to try to make it blend in with my other appliances, and it had a lot of features I really liked. That was my determining factors. Hope it works out for me. This is the lame reason I gave it a middle 3 star rating because I have no idea how it works but it really looks great.

I have only used this product there times before the water pump went out on it. I do have a new one coming however its not due to arrive for a few more days. When everything was working as it should we were very pleased and that's why I'm giving it another try. My fingers are crossed that this next one we get we don't have any issues with. Here is to second chances.

Two things I do like: it is very quiet and it cleans the dishes well. My main issue with this dishwasher is how precise you have to be when loading. I have standard size dinner plates and can only really fit 3 without the top rack washer bar hitting them. Make sure you measure your plates and the space between racks/washer bar before you purchase this dishwasher. When it says it opens when done for drying, this is not an understatement. The dishwasher opens about 6 inches.

The first one leaked on the floor and the dishwasher stopped and gave an error message... nice feature, the second one arrived and no issues... I only bought it because I got a discount by buying 4 Samsung appliances not as good as a Bosch dishwasher but marginal. We rinse the food off only because a quick cycle won’t do it but on the heavy cycle everything pretty well comes clean.

Initially ordered 1st dishwasher from a picture and it was not the one I wanted. The dishwasher I received was disappointing. The dishes and pans are hard to fit, it retain an awful odor and dishes don’t dry well. I really expected more from Samsung. Unfortunately, all my appliances in my kitchen remodel were replaced with Samsung products.

Had a very hard time fitting in cabinet due to not having any adjustable legs. My previous LG & Kitchen Aid had adjustable legs to raise and lower as needed a pure design flaw. Also it has a feature the opens the door at the end of the drying cycle, bad feature from my prospective, dishes stay wet especially the tops of cups.

I am a big fan of Samsung.... I purchased a full Kitchen and laundry package when we bought our new home. The only issue with this unit is the first one they delivered leaked at the tub so it took over a week to get a replacement. After the second unit was delivered it worked perfectly and is very quiet.

nice dishwasher, works great but seems smaller inside, have trouble loading same amount of dishes as my old kenmore . also there are two foot plates on the bottom. I could only find out that it was for looks and couldn't find out from samsung how to get rid of the outer rubber foot plate! so its just hanging there in front of the metal foot plate by 4 inches out.

    Has on Awful Odor

I never had a dishwasher that gave off an undesirable odor. Well this Samsung does. In their "problem" section, it says to run the dishwasher with nothing in it but a glass of vinegar on the bottom rack if this occurs. Did that and the smell went away for 2 washes but now it is back. It must be a common problem for their dishwashers. The dishwasher does clean well though.

Had the dishwasher for a week now. It is very quiet which is great. Does not have a heated dry which is good for your electric bill but bad if you want your dishes to be dry quick. Rinse aid help quite a bit. Buttons are easy to accidentally press where they are located on the door. Stainless dents easy especially around the handle if handle improperly. Functionality of the baskets is great.

Purchased top-of-the-line dishwasher. Has a professional plumber to install .3rd use washer broke, Samsung service department unable to fix two trips. Returned original to Best Buy and got replacement. Suggestion pay for installation from Best Buy and buy warranty program on this item. If you have a issue the reinstall is covered.

I left a 3 star only because of our history with this brand. Our old one last 2 years . Had to replace with the same brand so it matches our other appliances. It is quieter than the old one. Do yourself a favor and buy the warranty. Stuff isn’t built like it used to be

I’m only giving this a 3 because it does not have a heated dry. My old GE had heated dry and spoiled me. Dishes are wet when the wash cycle finishes and it says the door pops open before end of cycle to speed up drying but it doesn’t help. I didn’t realize it didn’t have a heated dry cycle.
