Broke within a year; Samsung won't honor warranty

Due to supply chain issues, it was not able to be delivered and installed until 3/29/22. In February of 2023, it began making clunking noises at start up (even when the dishwasher was empty). I contacted Samsung about warranty repair (1 year warranty). They told me my warranty had expired in January. I explained to them that it's only been in my possession since March 29. They didn't bother to respond.

While we try to make our dishwashers as quiet as possible, they cannot operate in complete silence. Loud or unusual noises indicate that action is needed, however. I have provided the links below to learn more.

Best Buy Installation is a disaster

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you choose Best buy tech support for installation ,Its a nightmare..first time they said they cannt install due to the plastic valve I have..and we changed the valve and re-scheduled another installation which is only available after 10 days and now its not draining the water with OC code …Now I had to schedule another one and I was told the next technician is available in 10 days..

Broken in less than 2 yrs

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought this dishwasher less than 2 years ago in Oct ‘20 and the pump has already died on us and the only place our repairmen was able to find the replacement part was Sears. $450 for the parts and labor. I will be purchasing a new dishwasher altogether rather than paying to repair this one. To boot, the performance was never that great to begin with. I never write reviews but I have time today, I would recommend staying far away from this product.

Terrible appliance stay away

Dishes do not come out clean, the interior of the dishwasher has a faint smell of dirty dishes even after washing (I used cascade platinum). The basket for silverware has mesh that is too big and everythign sticks out when closing the door. Product is made in China and I only discovered after purchasing. Everything inside the dishwasher looks like other dishwashers but after just a little usage you find out that it is made the cheapest stuff. Even the stainless steel siding looks like metal but in fact it's probably plastic the way it smells. Stay away, I will request a replacement - I am very upset.

Other issue is that with the silverware drawer spacing is very tight if dinner dishes are not placed exactly right the spray nozzle hits them and jams... Not as uiet as the Bosch unit it replaced.

Used didn't work

But, after installation, the unit wouldn't drain properly and kept throwing trouble codes. We kept thinking it was our drain system but turns out that there multiple level sensors in the back of the unit and were sure one of the fur got damaged. Will be returning and getting same but new.

If your dishwasher isn't draining, you will need to check the drain for clogs and blockage caused by food, debris, and waste and that the drain hose connection to the sink is straight, not pinched shut, kinked, bent, or damaged. I have provided a link below for more information.

Could have been great

Right out of the gate I had an issue with very fine particles of food (from the grinder??) deposited on all my dishes and especially cup & glass interiors. After searching for a solution, I found it seems to be an issue for some that is rarely resolved. I did try every FAQ suggestion and regularly cleaned the interior of residue. The door and roller tracks started squeaking after the first month. On paper, it looks great & feels high end; In practice, it isn't. I finally gave up and replaced it with another brand (which is not something I take lightly as I'm cheap - lol). I should have kept my 12year old Frigidaire.

Piece of garbage, useless waste of space

NOTHING comes clean and we got rid of our old dishwasher for this $700 piece of trash. Like most others, I've tried every option, every cycle, numerous types and brands of detergent. Makes no difference- IT'S THE DISHWASHER!!! Should've read the reviews because it seems like anyone reviewing that wasn't part of a "promo" said the same... Checking into return options as i do not want this crap in my house. It's worthless... My house is now loaded with Samsung appliances, should've bought LG.

Workers need to pay attention

TO DATE Best Buy HAS NOT repaired damage even though claim was filed. Worse installation team!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It won't be fair to leave the review for this dishwasher because we never got to experience it, but I had to tell what was our experience with installations guys arranged by Best Buy, they came in leaving the dishwasher in the truck, open the drawer under the sink and then right away said, they can't install it because plumbing under sink is too old, they don't want to take any chances. I was surprised to hear that because we had updated the sink two years back with under the sink plumbing and it was still considered old, then we requested them to leave the dishwasher as I decided to get it installed from some local plumber but these guys refused to unload the dishwasher from the truck and left saying have a nice day!

I only bought it again because I now have the extended warranty through Total Tech and wanted my appliances to match. I have had problems with my Samsung double/single oven-range of the same age, too.

Been waiting since November of 2022 to have it fixed and haven’t been able to use it since it broke. Samsung keeps replacing parts but it keeps breaking…..3 months and no dishwasher! Best Buy won’t help because it’s still “under factory warranty”……you would think they would just replace the dishwasher and be done with it.

Not the best

Smells
