Bought this player right before Black Friday, and got it for a steal! After using it, I would have paid full price. Easy setup, nice interface and the output is great. Upscales are wonderful, and 4k is just as good.

I'll make this short and sweet, I bought this player on impulse when I bought my new Samsung Q80 TV and Q80 Soundbar since I wanted to stay within the same-brand family. After more careful research and thought, I realized that a) this player was fairly old and didn't have all the latest technology and b) Samsung announced just recently that they were leaving the Blu-ray player business much as Oppo did a couple of years ago. So, I returned it for the new Sony X800M2 which has just been released within the last month and strikes a really nice balance between price and performance. Spend a little more and you could also have the Panasonic 840 but it was too much $ for my needs.

Great picture quality and full of features. Easy to hook up and use in conjunction with all the Samsung products. Interesting new remote to learn but still functional and not hard to learn.

I had high hopes for this Samsung player. The set up was quick and easy, everything was up and running, including the streaming apps. The 5.1 surround was perfect. The only negative on the sound was a pop or click would come out of various speakers when changing chapters on a bluray or going into menus, and after each segment or preview before the movie started. The clicking was annoying so I called Samsung help and the rep said it was normal on all the new line of players. OK, I can live with that annoyance. Then I put in a Disney movie, Nightmare before Christmas, listened to the clicks and pops after each of the many, many previews and after the final preview, when the main menu should have displayed, the screen went completely blank and black. I tried several more times but the movie would not play. I have played this bluray many times on my PS3 with no problem. I packed it up and returned to Best Buy tonight for a refund. The clerk was very polite and the store’s refund policy is very accommodating. Why is it so hard to make something that works correctly? It is a mystery.

Enjoy it immensely & adds to the quality & sound of any dvd place on the TV. No problems with setting up & no difficulty with the product.

Needed a player for the bedroom. Paired it with our Samsung TV and it delivers a great picture and is easily synced to our WiFi. Very easy to setup for beginners.

I purchased this item a month ago to replace a previous Samsung player I had that was part of a surround sound set up. It's easy to use and the picture is great. Would recommend.

This is great 4K BR and pairs well with my 65” Samsung 4K UHD TV. It’s super easy to use and set and have had zero issues. Would definitely recommend

This purchase was a perfect match for my new 4K TV ... the cost was competitive .... product was recommended by one of the customer associates at the store..... it was very simple to hook up and is compatible with my phone ...

This Blu-ray player does an outstanding job with both Blu-ray and DVD discs. The detail on high-grade content is hard to criticize and it does a good job with older content recorded using equipment that was not as good as it these days. The only thing that cold be improved is a larger power-on indicating light and a display on the front of the elapsed time of the content being played to make it unnecessary to note the elapsed time on the screen if interrupted part way through.

Picture is gorgeous. 4k and HDR are beautiful, I have a pretty 'mid-range' 4k tv, so it doesn't pop as much as it would on a $2500+ set... but I can still see a difference between this and regular Blu-ray. I had some trouble getting the sound output settings right using optical digital out, and the manual is so thin I had to search the net (not Samsung's site) for answers, eventually figured it out but the confusion was minorly irritating. It's workign great now and so far I'm very happy with it.

I purchased a Samsung tv and surround sound system and of course I had to get a Samsung dvd player! So far very happy with it. It works great! And a great price too!

The sleek design looks great with our current home entertainment center. The setup was quick and effortless. Very impressed by the picture quality as well as the additional features.

The set up was very easy with my Samsung 4K Ultra HD TV. The picture quality has been very impressive. It has worked well with both regular DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD.

This player displays 4k movies to perfection. In addition it will upscale blu ray and dvd formats with amazing clarity. Frankly when it upscales a blu ray, it really looks likes its 4k. Easy to use as well.

I bought this Samsung 4K Blu-ray player a couple weeks ago. This player provides an amazing picture with 4K DVDs and the Blu-ray disks look better too. I am completely satisfied with this purchase.

Samsung does it again. I tested the Sony, LG and Samsung with my Pioneer Elite VSX-90 home theater receiver and my Samsung SUHD 8500 series HDTV. All HDR capable with true 4:4:4 passthrough. HDMI 2.2 compliant. In other words, every component shakes hands properly! The Samsung wins hands down in every aspect. The picture is highly detailed from a 4K blu-ray disc beyond anything I could ever imagine! Great extra online content displays in all its 4K glory. Even the menus and options are in 4K! This is an amazing product with very fast load times too. YouTube 4K looks stunning. No choppines whatsoever. Finally, listen to FLAC music on the available USB port. A true dream machine!

Excellent sound and picture, but I have to get up from the every now and then to either turn it on or off or pop dvd out. Remote is intermittent. Yes I did put fresh batteries in

I purchased to pair with my QLED 7. What a picture!! Player has all the features I want and easy to set up. Best Buy representative knowledgeable on the product and how it compared to other brands.
