The wifi connection on this unit is horrible. The connection goes in and out if it works at all. Funny how my TV has zero streaming issues and this unit sits right under it. It also will not support Disney+. Plays discs just fine. I later learned that Samsung is getting out of the blu-ray streaming units and wont be making them anymore due to all the streaming services. Very glad I didn't pay full price for this unit. I would have taken it back but will stream from TV and use this solely as a disc player. I'm a big Samsung fan, although a couple products I have got from them lately are sub standard. Dont wanna go back to Sony but might.

While watching a DVD, the screen would occasionally blank out multiple times during the movie. I called Geek squad and they said to update the firmware. I checked and I had the most recent firmware. I exchanged the player with a LG 4K player that I had at home and was unable to duplicate the problem. I returned the Samsung DVD player and exchanged it for another of the same model. The new DVD player displayed the same problem. This only happens when you are watching a DVD but not when you are watching streaming movies.

Limited use and already broken

If you don’t have a receipt Samsung will tell you the warranty expired from the date of manufacture. Lucky for me BBY has a copy of the receipt on our online account, where the unit is still under warranty until November, and not March as they had stated. Hopefully Samsung fixes this defect and corrects this with future models. Apparently it happens quite often with this model.
