I thought all Blu Ray players remembered where to resume playback of a disc if the disc is stopped for some reason. My LG Blu Ray player always remembered where to resume a disc, even after the disc was removed and put back in. Samsung support just confirmed for me that the Samsung UBD-M8500 does not remember where it was. It's really painful to have to go to the disc menu, then scenes, and then forward and backward to where a disc was playing when it was stopped. I should have bought the LG when I upgraded to Ultra HD. Really dislike this thing, a lot. Plus, the remote is really sensitive and sometimes gets stuck and the dang thing goes crazy. Samsung has already replaced the first remote.

The batteries that were furnished with the remote were dead. The WiFi connection would not connect had to use wired connection. The remote would not function I had to use a universal remote but the player would not recognize most of the commands. This puppy is going back as soon as I figure out how to return it.

Exchanged it for the Sony 4K player instead. Better design and functionality.
