this is a great player. setup was very simple and works well with either brand of that we have currently,Samsung or Sony. There really has been no glitches with the player. It is superior to the previous player that we got from Samsung.

Easy set up for this BD-J5100/ZA Blu-ray Player. When you are asked to turn it on for the first time, press the on button that is on the front of the unit. Thereafter, you can use the on button that is on the remote. Some complain that this unit doesn't have an on/off light, however, with TV on and HDMI selected as source, when you turn the player on, the Home Screen shows on your TV. When you turn the player off, the Home Screen disappears, and then when you select source on your TV, the HDMI dims and shows "no signal." The player works well! I've played both Blu-ray and DVD, and the player definitely enhances the DVDs. So far we are very pleased with this unit. Because of some complaints by others, we purchased the 2-year insurance with Best Buy.

I wanted a Blue ray/ DVD player, and the price was great. I just didn't notice that it wasn't wireless, this is for the bedroom and the router is in the living room. I will fix that issue!

I bought this for my mother because she still had a dvd player that was starting to fall apart. quality is great and I feel it was a great buy. My mother loves it and is starting to build her blu ray collection

I had a few Blu-Ray players and this one is the best one I've bought thus far. I'm enjoy watching my collection of my movies over and over again. Thanks Samsung and Best Buy.

It starts with the TV or when you put a new DVD into the player. And it also plays Blu-Ray dvds. I haven't tried the blu-ray yet but the picture for regular dvd's is great.

I actually thought this was a wireless player..was disappointed but I should have looked at the details. .kept it..good player if you dont mind no wireless & you have a smart TV

Good price if you're looking for a Blu-Ray player to play your Blu-Ray discs. Easy to set up and easy to use. Would be nice to have some sort of LED or indicator to let you know the player is on or off. That's not a huge deal.

I wanted an inexpensive Blu-ray player for my home office. One that I only occasionally use. This fit the bill. No display on the front but the price was right.

The Blu-Ray picture is breathtakingly vibrant and make standard DVD's look and perform better. All the additional aps make viewing my streaming networks easy.

If you have other steaming services or devices this is a good buy, if not you'll need an ethernet cord to use the streaming services. The picture is clear with DVDs and Bluerays alike! Small, sleak and easy to install.

Options for extra services depend on wired network connection or optional wireless upgrade. I was not interested in that, so it serves my purpose well, to play blu-ray and DVDs.

Was a little hesitant at first,but once compatible with a Samsung television a new I had a winner,nice picture easy to operate and does a lot of other things such as ordering movie and playing music.Highly recommended.Thxs

This player is a great cost in you want a simple blu ray player. No need for additional costs or additional features. Worked perfectly for an additional room and families with a simple TV set up.

It has great picture quality. it is good product and easier to use. If you are going to be streaming from the internet I highly recommend this DVD player.

Good DVD/blue ray player for the price. Doesn't have wifi built in so we can't use the Netflix feature; other than that it's a good deal! Great picture.

Got a new Samsung HD TV for a bedroom so we needed a new DVD player. We got the Blu-ray player for around $70 and it is very small and lightweight. The picture is clear and the player functions exactly as we want.

This Samsung-BD-J5100/ZA Streaming Blu-ray Player-Black was my first Blu-ray player. For the price it can't be beat. Works well and I'm happy to be adding Blu-ray to my collection; does not seem to play 4K Ultra HD so be aware. I did deduct one star because it has no external indicator on/off light which proved quite irritating, other than that 4+ stars.

This is a nice, compact DVD player... easy to use... as others mentioned - would be nice if it had a light for functions.

If you need to play Blue Rays, this player will do that. There are no frills on this. This is just a simple straightforward player, but sometimes that's all you want.
