      Hello Gerson,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. I am sorry that you are not fully satisfied with your purchase.

To increase the volume of your rear speakers, use the soundbar remote and press the CH LEVEL button until you see REAR LEVEL. From there use the UP/DOWN buttons to adjust the volume between -6 to +6.

Unlike a receiver and stand-alone speaker system that requires wires between the receiver and the speakers, the SWA-9200S is wireless to the soundbar. This eliminates the need to run speaker cables through your walls or hide them from the front of the room to the back of the room.

If we can help with anything else, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (Ask for Soundbars), 8 AM – 12 AM EST, 7 days a week. LiveChat with an agent as well as manuals, software, and warranty info can be found at the ‘Support’ link on our Samsung website.

      Hello DustinL,

We appreciate you taking a moment to review the Samsung SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit.

Once this kit is connected to a compatible Samsung soundbar, the soundbar remote is then used to control the volume level of the rear kit. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

Also, make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.

You might want to try turning off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.

If you need further assistance, please know we are here to help. You can reach Samsung Support at: 1-800-SAMSUNG (Ask for Soundbars), 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our Live Chat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

      Hello ShannonO,

By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.

However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:

      1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. You will need to find the setting for Digital Audio Output within your TV. This will allow you to set it to PCM, Auto, or Pass-Through. If it is set to PCM, then the TV will only be able to output in stereo.
      2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
      3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
      4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the CH LEVEL button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the button on the soundbar remote, then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment. Should you need further assistance with this issue or have any questions, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for Soundbars), available 8 AM – 12 AM EST, 7 days a week.

It doesn’t decode the information right, so instead of adding the effects of rear speakers, it sends the information from the front to the back. It also isn’t very loud. I had them on plus 6 and I had to sit right on the wall to hear them.

      Hi SpeakerMan27,

We appreciate you taking a moment to review the SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speakers.

Please know, there are various settings you can adjust to improve your experience with the rear speakers.

You can adjust the volume of the rear speakers by using the remote included with the connected soundbar. Press the CH LEVEL button on the soundbar remote, then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

Additionally, make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If you are using a format such as PCM, you may experience decreased volume to the rear speakers. Select Bitstream, Auto, or Pass-Through as these settings will allow the TV to send the correct channels to the rear speakers.

I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment. Should you need further assistance with this issue or have any questions, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

Select Samsung Soundbars allow you to enable or disable Dynamic Range Control. You can try turning off DRC by pressing and holding the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode.

      PerryC,

We appreciate you taking a moment to review the SWA-9200S Rear Speaker Kit.

Occasionally, customers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers). The Rear Speaker Kit eliminates that hassle. You just have to connect the right speaker to power than run the speaker wire from the right to the left rear speaker and place them in the back of your room. The “wireless” convenience is in connecting your soundbar and any other speakers at the front of the room to the rear speakers eliminating any clutter of long wires running the length of your room.

If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.

Should you need further assistance with this issue or have any questions, please contact Samsung Customer Support.
