Quality is decent. Disappointed in the "surround" experience. They are more stereo extension speakers. Still nice to have. But not the immersive surround experience.

      Hello DustinD,

We appreciate you taking a few moments to review the Samsung SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit.

By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.

However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:

      1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
      2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
      3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
      4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the CH LEVEL button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the button on the soundbar remote, then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment. Should you need further assistance with this issue or have any questions, please contact Samsung Customer Support. Shipped to my home as none left in the store. Sent an open box not new that someone had sent back that was missing half of the power cord. Paid for new. Had to go to a Best Buy store to resolve the problem and the Point of sale Machine had a glitch and they couldn’t let me return without paying again for it because I purchased with certificates that I earned spending $3500 on new TV’s. I spent over 3 hours at the store because no one could help because of the glitch in their Computer machines. Finally after 3 hours a worker opened a box and took the cord from another one. No one offered to get me a new one instead of an open box. Again I paid for NEW not OPEN BOX which is discontinued but I paid full Price. I deserve some kind of refund.

      Hello Blue,

Thank you for sharing your review regarding the design of the SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit.

Occasionally, customers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers). The Rear Speaker Kit eliminates that hassle. Connect the rear speakers to each other with the provided speaker cable and then plug the main speaker in to the wall for power. The “wireless” convenience is in connecting your soundbar and any other speakers at the front of the room to the rear speakers – this can now be done wirelessly, eliminating any clutter of long wires running the length of your room.

If we can help with anything else, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (Ask for Soundbars), 8 AM – 12 AM EST, 7 days a week. LiveChat with an agent as well as manuals, software, and warranty info can be found at the ‘Support’ link on our Samsung website.

Bought these since they're the only alternative from Samsung for my hw- b650 soundbar. You have to run speaker wire between the two speakers so they are not truly wireless as others here have mentioned. Sound is barely audible (yes, they were connected properly). I had to hold it up to my ear and put my finger in my other ear to be sure they were on. I love the sound bar but extremely disappointing Samsung couldn't provide any other compatible options for wireless rear speakers. Don't waste your money on these.

      Hello,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. We appreciate your feedback and it will be shared among our internal teams.

Occasionally, customers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers). The Rear Speaker Kit eliminates that hassle. The “wireless” convenience is in connecting your soundbar and any other speakers at the front of the room to the rear speakers – this can now be done via Wi-Fi through the wireless module that is built in to one of the rear speakers, eliminating any clutter of long wires running the length of your room. The speaker cable also gives power to the other rear speaker, which keeps you from having a second cable to plug in to an outlet.

Additionally, by design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.

However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:

      1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. Depending on your TV, make sure that the Audio Format is set correctly to send Surround Sound to the rear channels. Using either Bitstream, auto or passthrough is the most recommended settings.

I have never been more disappointed in an item, in Best Buy and in my Best Buy Total Membership. I purchased these speakers along with a Samsung Sound Bar and Sub Woofer, hoping to enhance my listening experience of our TV. I got the Sound Bar and Sub Woofer hooked up with no problem and it is working great. I followed the instructions to the letter to get my Rear Speakers to connect through Blue Tooth but to no avail. I contacted Best Buy through my Total Membership and spoke to Technical Support for a great deal of time but they also were unable to help me get it connected. They then said I got get a technician to come out and help but I would have to pay over $100 for a service call. I then tried going through the Chat Line but they were no help either and said the same thing about a service call that I would have to pay for. When I pay over $250 for products and one of them will not work, I shouldn't have to pay for a service call. I was given a supposed number to someone higher up the ladder but in speaking with them it was the same answer. So, I am returning the speakers and will not purchase any more of them from Best Buy. I am close to canceling my Best Buy Total Membership after this experience.

      Hello Shine,

I’m sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience with connecting your SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit to your soundbar.

If the auto-connection process to the rear speakers was unsuccessful, you can manually pair the rear speakers to the soundbar. Press the ID SET button on the back of the Left Rear Speaker with a pen tip for 5~6 second or until the LINK LED indicator blinks fast (in Blue).

Next, with the soundbar powered OFF, press and hold the UP button on the remote control until ID SET message appears on the Soundbar’s Display. If the Soundbar does not have a display window then the LEDs will blink RED – Green – Blue (in that order) The LINK LED indicator stops blinking on the left rear speaker and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Rear Speakers.

I hope these tips help resolve the issues you are experiencing. If you would like additional assistance with the setup of your rear speakers, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (Ask for Soundbars), 8 AM – 12 AM EST, 7 days a week. Hello Gerson,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. I am sorry that you are not fully satisfied with your purchase.

To increase the volume of your rear speakers, use the soundbar remote and press the CH LEVEL button until you see REAR LEVEL. From there use the UP/DOWN buttons to adjust the volume between -6 to +6.

Unlike a receiver and stand-alone speaker system that requires wires between the receiver and the speakers, the SWA-9200S is wireless to the soundbar. This eliminates the need to run speaker cables through your walls or hide them from the front of the room to the back of the room.

However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:

      Hello DustinL,

We appreciate you taking a moment to review the Samsung SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit.

Once this kit is connected to a compatible Samsung soundbar, the soundbar remote is then used to control the volume level of the rear kit. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

Also, make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.

You might want to try turning off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.

Wish I could put 0. Bought excellent condition open box the box was missing the power cord. Drove 2 hours to come back home and find out that I couldn't even use them. Decided I'd call in the morning to figure this out. I call and they say they can't help me over the phone, instead I need to drive 2 hours back to talk to the store in person. I try to ask for an extension number so I can do anything I can online before I make the trip again and three different times they give me an invalid extension number. Terrible support.
