Weak Sound
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These speakers may work in an extremely small bedroom. In a large open area you can’t even notice they are playing any sound, unless you place your ear over it. There is simply not enough sound coming out of the speakers.

Posted .Hello JakeRyan,
Thank you for purchasing the new SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. I am sorry to see that you are not 100% satisfied with your new rears.
By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode.
4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the CH LEVEL button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the button on the soundbar remote, then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.
I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment. Should you need further assistance with this issue or have any questions, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

Posted .Hello DANIEL,
Thank you for sharing your experiences with the SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. I am sorry that you are not fully satisfied with your purchase!
Using your Soundbar remote, press the CH LEVEL button until you see REAR LEVEL appear across the LED display screen. Next, using the UP/DOWN buttons on the same remote (top and bottom of the circle) you can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 of these speakers.
Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. Depending on your TV, make sure that the Audio Format is set correctly to send Surround Sound to the rear channels. Using either Bitstream, Auto or Passthrough is the most recommended settings.
If you are using STANDARD sound mode then use either SURROUND or another mode. This will allow your Soundbar to properly send the audio to the rear channels when it is needed.
If we can help with anything else, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (Ask for Soundbars), 8 AM – 12 AM EST, 7 days a week. LiveChat with an agent as well as manuals, software, and warranty info can be found at the ‘Support’ link on our Samsung website.

Posted .Hello,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit.
The rear speaker kit does in fact add an additional 2 rear channels when used with content that supports surround channels. You will need to make sure that you use ADAPTIVE, GAME or SURROUND Sound Modes on your Soundbar otherwise the channels will not send correctly to the rear speakers.
Check your TV Audio Format settings as well, you will need to change it to Auto or Bitstream as PCM will only play content in 2.0 and not play surround channels correctly.

Posted .Hello EzraBrand,
Thank you for sharing your review of the SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. I am sorry that you are not fully satisfied with your purchase!
Make sure that your Audio Format within your TV is set to either Bitstream, Pass-Through or Auto. If the format is set to PCM, your soundbar will not send the correct channels to the rear speakers.
Also please be aware that you need to be using any SOUND MODE other than Standard. This can affect the overall channels that your soundbar and rear speaker kit receive.
Lastly, you will want to update the software of your soundbar. You can download the firmware directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-B650 under Standard.
Download the update and install it via USB thumb stick to your soundbar. If you need additional help, there are how-to instructions on this page. Please know that Samsung Customer Service is here to assist as well.

Posted .Hello Keshawn,
Thank you for sharing your experiences with the new SWA-9200S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit.
I am sorry to see that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.
There are a few steps to troubleshoot your connection issues. First check to make sure that your haven't placed the wires too deeply into each speaker. The clamps need to be connected on just the exposed wire. If the speaker cable is pushed in too deeply then the connect will not be complete and will cause sound drops.
Second manually pair the rear speakers back to your soundbar, follow these steps below.
If the Soundbar is turned on, please turn OFF the Soundbar.
Press the Up button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds until the “ID SET” message appears on the Soundbar’s display. The message will disappear shortly.
• After the ID SET process is successful, the Soundbar will turn on automatically.
The LINK LED stops blinking and changes to solid blue when the Soundbar and surround speakers are successfully linked. Please turn off the Soundbar and turn it back on. Confirm that the LINK LED is blue. It may take a minute depending on the environment.
If you continue to have any issues with your soundbar, please know that Samsung Customer Support is here for you.

Disappointing purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s disappointing to buy a Samsung product and not be pleased. I bought these to use with the Samsung soundbar and they aren’t great. First of all, they are wireless from the TV, but not from each other, so I still have wire to hide. Secondly, there is no way that I have found to adjust the volume of them independently, from each other or the soundbar. Whatever the soundbar volume is dictates the speakers. It would be nice to have control of that. So, no, I would not choose these again.

Posted .DontBlink,
Thank you for taking a moment to review the Samsung SWA-9200S Soundbar.
Occasionally, customers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers). The Rear Speaker Kit eliminates that hassle. Connect the rear speakers to its wireless module and place these three in the back of your room. One wire is required to connect each rear speaker to the wireless module. Then plug in the power cable to the module. The “wireless” convenience is in connecting your soundbar and any other speakers at the front of the room to the rear speakers – this can now be done via Wi-Fi through the wireless module, eliminating any clutter of long wires running the length of your room.
Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
