Very Disappointed

Tried every configuration and setting possible but can get no more than a whisper of sound from these speakers. You can tell that they are quality built and they look great but performance is almost nil. I would expect that there could be some kind of firmware update that would solve this issue but, thus far, have not been able to find one.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung SWA-9500S Rear Speaker Kit. We appreciate you sharing your experience with the surround sound system. By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
3) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

Later in the day after hooking it up the volume went up fairly loud by itself. Turned it down and later left the room and when i came back the volume was up again. After 3 times i turned it off and reluctantly took it back.

Please know, every soundbar in the 2021 Samsung Soundbar lineup is compatible with an additional set of wireless rear speakers. The SWA-9500S is compatible with our WiFi enabled soundbars, models Q700A, Q800A, and Q900A. The SWA-9100S is compatible with the Q600A, A650, A550, A450, S60A, and S61A. This gives the customer the option to add the additional surround sound speakers to improve the experience on any Samsung soundbar.

They are good,& Bluetooth connectable to only certain soundbars… you have to purchase one of the better/ high end Samsung soundbars to guarantee compatibility… Not completely wireless, it does have a power cord…

No information on website about compatability with sound bar. Very unhappy with Samsung and Best Buy for putting me through this ordeal. Returned them, no help for Best Buy for my troubles. Good bye Best Buy, get treated better at Amazon. Probably won't buy ANYTHING from Best Buy, EVER AGAIN!

The first set would not pair and they said they were the wrong ones. So I had to be this pair for a $100 bucks or more upcharge and get the home and guess what they don’t pair either. Do not recommend getting the Samsung sound bar and rear speakers and sub woofer like it did buy them as a unit at once don’t piece them together they won’t work!!! Will be returning the whole dang set and going to another option may even switch stores not happy with the current situation.

You can download the full user manual directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, type in the search bar your exact model number and then click soundbar selection when it appears below the search bar.

The SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Speakers are truly wireless to the Soundbar itself. They do need to be plugged in for power to make them work. If your rear speakers came with a central wireless transmitter, and require plugging speakers into this unit, then you have a different model.

Please know that the SWA-9500S Rear Speakers are compatible with the HW-Q800D, HW-QS730D, HW-S800D, HW-S801D, HW-Q900C, HW-Q800C, HW-Q700C, HW-Q7CC, HW-Q800B, HW-Q700B, HW-S800B/S801B, HW-Q7CB, HW-Q900A, HW-Q800A and the HW-Q700A Soundbars.
If your soundbar is one of the listed compatible soundbar try the following steps.
Plug the SWA-9500S power cord into an outlet and into the speakers to turn them on. Turn off your soundbar and press the Up button on the remote for 5 seconds. The ID SET message will appear on the soundbar for a short time and then disappear. After the ID SET process, the soundbar power is automatically turned on. The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the soundbar and the rear speakers.

Once the SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Speakers are connected to a compatible Samsung soundbar, the soundbar remote is then used to control the volume level of the rear kit. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.
Also make sure that you change the Sound Mode on the Soundbar to Surround, Game, or Adaptive Sound as these will send the rear channels to the speakers correctly. Check the Digital Audio Format within your TV. It should be set to Bitstream, Auto, or Pass-Through. If it is set to PCM then the rear channels will not play correctly.
