super fast ssd, just love it. great for storage. its a must have. portable too.

Using this with the Blackmagic Pocket Camera 4k and it holds up! You get about 68-70mins shooting ProRes 422 HQ with this 1TB drive. RAW is about 1/2 that time. The pictures don't really show it, but this is a small and lightweight SSD drive, making it perfect for mounting on the camera when using a Ronin S. Only downfall is the price, I would buy more of these if they were cheaper.

I have 4 of these things (various sizes) They are a bit on the more expensive side, but they are worth it. Honestly, right now I wouldn't put any external over this, especially for the price, speed, and durability of these things. Do not buy these off of amazon! lol

Consistent quality for an external SSD. This is our go-to SSD for storing and transferring data for projects. Fast transfer speeds with USB-C cable, and more compact than you might expect. After using at least 30 of these Samsung T5 1TB SSD without issue, it is the only one that I bother buying. Worth a few extra dollars for peace of mind when dealing with a large project dataset.

Extremely reliable, light weight and super fast transfer speed

I got this to use as external storage for the PS5. Yes you cannot save PS5 games to it but you can save PS4 games to it and save your storage in the PS5 for PS5 games. The load times aren’t as good as being saved on the PS5 internal SSD but it is loads faster than what the PS4 was. The 1TB after formatting comes to mid to low 9000 GBs. If there was any issue, which I don’t take seriously, is that you can only save games to the EXSSD, no pictures, videos or save files. You have over 9000 GBs of raw storage in a small sleek EXSSD that sits right behind my console where no one will ever see it. I would recommend this to anyone who plans on using backwards compatibility on the PS5 and you are worried about storage on your internal PS5 SSD. It was extremely easy to set up, took it out of the package, plugged it into the back of the console, formatted the SSD and it was all over in under 5 minutes.

I purchased this device to provide backup for my Ubuntu Linux 20.04 desktop computer. It works perfectly. It's small, light weight, and is powered through the USB cable so no need for a separate charging device. I simply plugged it and reformatted for ext4 file system and I was good to go with no issues. The device supports encryption for added data security.

This is my second T5 from Samsung. First one I bought was 512Gb. I use it mostly with my MacBook Pro to store Virtual Machines. Right now I already have Win10 and two Linuxes images on this drive and still have space. This drive is very fast when connected through UCB-C. When you , for example, run Win10 in VM from this drive you won't be able to fell any kind of slowness

Brilliant! Much smaller than I expected from the images, it's about 4/5 the size of a deck of playing cards and half as thick. Big enough to dissipate heat more effectively than a USB stick, but small enough to be pocketable. Other reviews will get into more detail about the speed, but it's fast enough that I don't notice when I'm working off it vs. an onboard SSD.
