I use this to run my audio software from multiple computers. The transfer speeds are good enough for me needs. Recently just recorded a chamber choir directly to this SSD from my surface go laptop. Every thing worked perfect even with my real-time file transfer being rather large. I love the fact that I can use this to switch between my portable laptops and can then plug into my larger computer when i get into the studio for post production. This saves $ because now I don't need travel laptops that need large internal SSDs. This also saves time with file transferring. I love the convenience of this item. It's very small though! Will be terrible to lose it without properly backing it up.

So far so good. Easy to setup and use. I’m using it with my Lenovo laptop to keep backup files files for work. I also used it to backup the photos from my phone. I haven’t noticed any lag or performance issues.

This is actually my second USB 3.1 SSD to use with a MacBook Pro retina. The first add 512 GB of storage and work great but was from a company called lecture. Was looking for a larger drive to use for video editing on the go Came across this device on sale and it has been great to use so far.

I have a few of these portable SSD drives. I really like the small size of the Samsung T5 and that it comes with both type-c and type-a connections. The T5 is pretty fast. It is a lot faster than using my regular portable hard drives.

I shoot a lot of RAW files on my A7RIII so I need somewhere to store them. I wanted something fast and easy to travel with. This was the perfect pickup. It is extremely fast and takes up barely any room while traveling.

I now own like 7 of these lol. I started out using the 500gb SSD’s, and quickly upgraded to the 1TB for all of my audio/visual editing and backups. They’re super fast and easy to travel with.

In my opinion, this is the best portable SSD in this price range, It is fast and it is reliable. Both of which are a necessity when it comes to portable storage. I have 4 of them right now and have never had any serious issues with any of them.

I own a black magic pocket cinema camera 6k and realized very quickly that I needed storage. A lot of storage. Thankfully, the Samsung t5 is an affordable storage option. It works very well on camera and while connected to a computer. Would recommend 100%

Great portable SSD, pairs perfectly with USB-C devices. I really like this drive for adding additional storage to my Macbook at a way better price than buying more storage from Apple. It's still plenty fast.

Very good purchase. Fast transfer speeds, reliable connection, good security in that you can lock it with a password/key, and smaller and more compact that what I was expecting. Fits in the palm of my hand with room to spare.

I was amazed at how small this portable hard drive is for being a 1tb in size. Works great, I have partitioned it so that I can use it with Mac OS time machine and have a partition for other backups. Fast write speed.

Haven't had any Samsung SSD's kick the bucket yet (knock on wood), and they've always been just as fast if not faster than other major SSD brands. Even better at higher capacity sizes as it reduces the need for secondary HDD's for media storage.

I buy multiple ssd's a week to fufill client needs for content media creation. The Samsun T5 hard drives save me a few steps by storing raw 4k and imagery, editing directly from the drive, and exporting the finished product all on the same drive without compromising speed for functionality. Once complete, I simply have to eject and send to the client. 3.1 ssd is a must for speeds needed to edit 4k. Samsung got it right with this hard drive. The only con is that the security feature Samsung has in place requires the end user to download a program. For banking & pharma corporate and city/state/federal government clients, this step is a no-go for thier IT departments which means the drives have to remain devoid of the samsung security features. Seems outdated (circa 1998) to have to download a program to activate a simple password authorization on a hard drive.

Great external drive - nice and thin, transfers documents very fast, quiet, and doesn't heat up. A plus that it's type C since it can connect to my phone easily to back up things as well.

I didn't test out the speed, but many people say Samsung one is faster than Sandisk. The cable is a bit longer than other product's, and I wish there was USB C female to USB-A type like Sandisk one. Overall, still I like its style, speed, and performance.
