This Samsung SSD is a great storage solution for your computer or game console. I use it for my Xbox Series X console and it’s a life-saver due to Microsoft’s poor decision to the console to only 1 TB of storage for a next-gen console with a list of games that easily reach over 100gb and some over 200gb. This solves that problem by offering quick transfer speeds and saving you from having to micromanage your internal storage.

Small, very fast, was surprised of how portable it is. Just plug and you are ready to go.

Great drive, very fast, seems to be well built. This is my third T5 drive. I use this on my Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, and I am able to shoot BRAW 6K 12:1 with no problem. It even works with 8:1. I can transfer video to my computer from this drive at around 500-600 MB/s sustained. I think this drive is more reliable than the T7 (in my honest opinion). I've had a couple of problems with the T5's successor (the T7).

Bought this almost a year ago and its been offering great performance since I started using it! I use it to store games (Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars: Battlefront II, etc.) for my gaming laptop. There hasn't been any change in quality & speed of my games since transferring them to this SSD.

Samsung’s T3 and T5 SSD drives nail all the check marks that make editing on-the-go a solid possibility. How blisteringly fast is this thing? All my raw 1080p footage can reside in this drive as a unified Final Cut Pro library and I’m able to directly edit from it — real-time scrubbing the timeline and media bin without a hiccup! Gone are the days of having to move the footage into the laptop as an editing prerequisite. The beauty of plugging Samsung’s SSD into another laptop or desktop and just continuing to work from it (no more having to relocate missing or scattered files) cannot be understated. The specs should indicate the T5 has a USB-C port. Two cables are included one for connecting to USB-C and the other to the original USB-A. I’ve been praising this drive while connecting it with only the latter USB-A (3.0 spec)!

Needed some extra portable storage that was easy to store and move. This thing is great and now I am able to store all my photos so I can edit or use them on my desktop or my laptop. There are no moving parts so there is no chance the internal components will get harmed with moderate bouncing around even when files are being read or written. Happy that I was able to find this device and hoping it will hold up to the rigors of my day to day use! So far so good!

So small and portable yet has a ton of storage. I can easily throw this in my pocket and forget its there. Worth the money..

bought it for photo storage for my laptop. works well, fast via usbc, light and small. no complaints!

Using this with the Blackmagic Pocket Camera 4k and it holds up! You get about 68-70mins shooting ProRes 422 HQ with this 1TB drive. RAW is about 1/2 that time. The pictures don't really show it, but this is a small and lightweight SSD drive, making it perfect for mounting on the camera when using a Ronin S. Only downfall is the price, I would buy more of these if they were cheaper.
