Pretty solid option! I got mine for extra storage for my video projects, and so far it seems to be fast enough to edit off of (I shoot with an A7s3, 10 bit, 4k). The transfer speed is insane compared to the HDDs I was using. Would recommend!

Great dependable and fast external SSD. I am using the Samsung external SSDs with Macs, for quick Time Machine backups when the SSD is directly connected to a Mac. When I have used this SSD to setup a new Mac from a Time Machine back up from an old Mac, it is very quick. The Samsung SSD drive format is exFAT, which is compatible with Mac and Windows use. For Mac use only, the best format is AFPS, and formatting can be done by using Disk Utility in MacOS. Monitor the sale pricing; the price can occasionally drop significantly.

After 30 days of use—moving large files to my new MacBook Air—the T7 has felt like a trusty sidekick. It’s astonishingly compact, and I’ve tossed it in my bag without a second thought. A slight warmth under heavy write‑loads is the only quirk I’ve noticed—but nothing a quick pinch won’t handle.

I have purchased 2 of these external hard drive memory cards. Wouldn't buy any other brand. Not flimsy like a standard disc memory. Strong. Hi memory. Easier to use. Very easy to set up and use. Better in every way compared to a "disc" memory.

Xmas gift for the kids and their pc. They were running out of storage and this provides more than enough. Easy setup, and they were off and running in no time. No issues/problems so far. I think I’m purchasing one for my graphic design work.

Very reasonably priced. Small enough to fit in your pocket, but has 1 TB of storage capacity. Great alternative to the "Cloud". Sets up quickly and easily and is ready to go.

Vought this thing like 3 years ago and it hasnt slowed down or differed at all. Stores all my game files and then some for on the go gaming and perfectly fits in your pocket

I've tried it on many different products; anything from a flagship Android device, MacBook, Win10 system & a Xbox One X. On the MacBook and Win10 setups, it averages speeds right around 850mb/s. On the Xbox One X console it averages about 490-520mb/s due to the console only having USB 3.0, so the SSD is essentially being bottle-necked, which I knew would be the case from day 1. However, in all cases this drive is ridiculously fast, has really nice build quality, easy to use on any platform and for what you're getting it's definitely worth the price. I've made this the main drive from which I run games off of on my XB1X. I have the stock internal 1TB HDD, a 5TB external USB 3.0 HDD that I download all games and apps to, and then I have this new 1TB SSD that I transfer my most played/current game(s) to because it loads and runs so much faster. Overall, I haven't had it long but I have no complaints, yet. If anything changes I'll be sure to update my review, but as of now I have no cons whatsoever about purchasing this SSD. For the price & the future proof of it being USB 3.2 Gen 2, it really is hard to beat.

No issues at all so far with this drive. I use it for DAW both at home and on stage. It's fast, it's big, and I have no latency issues at all. Some complain about heat issues, but I have not had any, and I tax it out quite a bit (reading DAW sounds). The only con is the price. I wish it were more around the $200 range, and that it were true Thunderbolt, but that typically doubles the price.

Super fast to edit video on, easy to transport, reliable!

Its just over the size of a credit card and about as thick as pencil. Works great and is lightening fast. I had a TimeMachine for years tucked away in a cabinet so you wouldn't see it. It crashed and now I have this on my desk, you barely even notice. I used it on my iMac and just story on top of the base mount with a short Thunderbolt cable. So much better than my TimeMachine in backup speed.

I transferred all my data from old computer to my new computer with relative ease.

A very fast drive. I bought this to get over 50gb of files off of 3 Imacs at my school that had videos i made for my film major classes, despite the fact those Imacs are slow on the network they run on this drive was very rapid. First time using a SSD it blew me away. I do not regret this purchase. Its amazing!

This is worth buying i should've gotten the 2tb but i just wanted to see if i would like this and all I will say is that I'm very satisfied with this and it is real quick when setting it up and this will work with your game system this hooked right up to my Playstation with no problems

This is a go to device and if you have used the t5 this is an improvement. If you are a gaming youtuber this is great because you can instantly plug it into your console and get footage and then plug it into your pc or phone and start editing
