I have been using the T7 as a principal backup for my laptop and it works flawlessly. The login encryption is easy to setup and the read/write speeds are very good! Unless a faster portable SSD is needed for moving large files --- e.g., 4k video --- on a frequent basis, the T7 will be more than adequate. Otherwise, the T9 would be the way to go.

Great item for the price! I was able to store all of my home videos and convert them to dvds!

Great so far. It's larger than the T5s I own, but still small and compact compared to other portable SSD brands.

I love these Samsung SSDs - I have one (older model) that I use as a backup drive, and I use this one for as an external drive for my PS5 (formerly PS4). Very highly recommend.

Best investment if you plan to edit video files. Also great way to back up files or just work off and keep your computer free with space. Very fast and efficient.

The drive works as it should. This is the second Samsung T7 external drive I have purchased.

I bought this drive for a external boot drive for my IMAC 27" 2011. Internal drive was just too slow. MY IMAC WORKS MUCH FASTER NOW.

The Samsung - T7 1TB External USB 3.2 Gen 2 Portable SSD with Hardware Encryption is a very useful portable SSD drive that I use to backup my HP All In One Computer and the performance is more than acceptable for backups and miscellaneous file storage. I would buy another one when I need more external storage.

I use this to edit my 4k videos and large photoshop files. It also holds my Lightroom library and I have not had any issues. I am so surprised by how well this functions compared to T5.

Finally, an SSD that is functional and can replace my old external SATA drives.

Great item, I use for work and is very fast and dependable. This is about the size of a credit card and works well if you travel. I purchased two of these for my coworkers to use. I purchased one in Black ad one in Blue, this way we can tell the difference from one persons to the next. I had a smaller drive and this one is much faster and the file transfers are super quick. I would purchase again when needed.

Solid metal casing, very aesthetically pleasing, and most importantly, fast speeds! Great for an external game library for PC gaming.

This is a must for any laptop user with a type port. This thing is very fast and is silent since it’s an ssd. Works perfect for my wife’s MacBook Pro with the M1 chip.
