Perfect hard drive! So much better than the Sandisk SSD

Very nice ssd. Brought as the external drive for Xbox One X, works good so far. The shield version has better color options than the regular T7.

Honestly had done everything I have expected out of it the only complaint is the usb c port is loose

Macbook external storage is my use..Dont get caught up with all the reviews that compare read a write speeds .Just get you a 1t or 2t external ssd so you can spend the money younsave on ram because you simply can not upgrade that later.. but you can always add external storage.

One of the best purchase in a long time; very fast file transfers

A small, rugged, and fast external storage device. Fits in the palm of your hand, lightweight, and has a rubberized coating. Comes with a USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables. The device has one USB-C port, and a status light. The Blue is a nice deep color. In the pictures attach are speed from connecting to a USB3-C Gen2, USB3-C Gen 1, USB3-A, and USB 2 ports. On a USB3 Gen 2, 2.4GB took ~5 seconds, about 600MB per second. USB3 Gen 1 took ~10 seconds for the same file. Tried it with multiple files and it never got hot. Samsung Magician recognized the device and provided the speeds with various connections. It also comes with Samsung Portable SSD Software which allows you to password protect the drive. No password, no access, so your protected on the go with AES 256-bit hardware encryption. Small, fast, and reliable. 1TB is a good size for carrying a lot of files, or music, whatever you need. Samsung SSD's have are usually reliable and with no moving parts, I'd expect this to last a while, even with drops and getting water on it as it's IP65 rated.

Bought this to move several hundred gb of data from my old machine to new one. It's shockingly fast and seems like a well built device. The rubberized exterior is really nice.

There really aren't downsides I can see with this hard drive. If you need something with a bit more space than your typical USB drive but not as bulky as most other external drives, this is a nice little pickup that should suit just about anyone's needs. While it's bigger than your typical USB drive, it's not bulky or cumbersome as you would think. Dimension wise, it's a bit larger than a business card and neatly fits into your hand. The weight is really negligible IMO so it'll fit easily into your backpack or purse without issue. This is a "rugged" model so it's dust/water resistant, I can't really think of a scenario where this would be beneficial for me however, if you're a field photographer or doing anything tech related out in the wild blue yonder, this might be a nice pickup if you need to offload files from memory cards or something. For me, I'm a desk jockey so this will work perfect for me for transporting files and what not from home to office. It comes with two cables; One USB-C to USB-C and one USB-A to USB-C. For max speed, the USB-C to USB-C cable is ideal however it works fine with the USB-A cable since this is USB 3.2. 1TB, for me, is perfect for just about everything. From decks to large spreadsheets; there's no issue for me with running out of space on this drive . The only small thing I can pick out from this is that the coating on this drive is kind of a rubbery, matte finish. It picks up lint quite well and in great quantities so this should be something of interest for you. I kind of wished it was a smoother texture however, this being somewhat of a rugged drive, I guess it makes more sense to have this finish instead. I have oodles of USB drives lying around so I think it might be time to consolidate those into this one and have this as my main on-the-go drive.
