JUST BUY IT!

Rugged and durable SSD

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very rugged and durable SSD that will not scratch other devices when thrown in a backpack. I have 100% confidence in this SSD when traveling. Do note that the Samsung magician software is not currently compatible with MacOS, this is completely optional however. Using the ExFat format, I got speeds in the ~350 mb/s on MacOS Ventura (M1 silicon). I reformatted the drive to APFS encrypted (Apple Specific) and got read/write speeds in the ~900 mb/s range. I chose this SSD over the Sandisk Extreme due to extra drop protection and the silicon coating.

Lessons learned the hardway, we now use this as a hardware backup and rotate devices fir backups. Went with a little bit more sturdy case. No long term info yet, but it does what it says.
