Perfect Portable SSD for Photography & Mac Backups

The speed alone makes this drive worth every penny—transfers are extremely fast and consistent. When I’m moving large RAW files, Lightroom catalogs, or full session folders, the T9 easily keeps up and saves me a ton of time. The advertised speeds (up to 2,000 MB/s) feel real in day-to-day use. Setup on my Mac was instant. It’s fully compatible with macOS, and formatting it to APFS for Time Machine/Backups took less than a minute. Since then, it’s been rock-solid for both manual backups and automatic system backups. No connection drops, no overheating issues, and it handles long transfers without throttling. For photography, this drive is incredibly reliable as an on-the-go storage solution. It’s compact, durable, lightweight, and feels premium. I’ve tossed it in my camera bag and traveled with it—never had a single issue. The textured design also gives it a great grip, so it doesn’t slide around like other SSDs. If you’re a photographer, videographer, or Mac user looking for a dependable, high-speed portable SSD for editing or backups, the Samsung T9 is honestly one of the best options available. Fast, secure, durable, and extremely easy to use. Highly recommended.

The program it comes with can be useful, and the drive itself can play AAA games from it through steam. Pretty good stuff!

No real install to worry about, just plug and play. Best console use for PS4/Xbox One and older games. Newer PS5 and XSX games cannot be run straight from drive and must be transferred back to console storage to play.

I was so impressed with the speed at which this thing can download and upload huge file sizes and in large quantities! I ended up buying the same thing in a smaller size for personal use.

She loves it, the access is fast both writing to it and reading from it. It’s small size is perfect for he camera bag. She is planning on purchasing another shortly.

Speed, portability, the size is about half an inch thick, and the footprint is covers the same space as a credit card. Well worth it. I use this drive primarily for transferring large files so there is plenty of space to work with too.
