Really good portable projector. Build it drivel stand did make s big difference. Built in Tizen OS makes it a portable Samsung TV with built in said difficult to cast in other projector. Unfortunately not worth it at the asking Retail price, I got open box at almost half off. Which was perfect price for this. Control sucks but might be mine is just faulty. Can use smart things app as a what controller for all settings.

This is my 2nd projector and I’m very satisfied. I bought it in an open-box excellent condition. It came with a charger, lens cover and remote control. It works great. The picture quality is great. I can watch Samsung tv for free. There are lots of good apps. It just feels like I’m having a 100 in Samsung tv. Plus, I can use my Samsung tv remote with my Samsung projector and vice versa. The projector remote is chargeable. The projector is light, portable. Things that I don’t about it is that the remote kept unpairing itself from the projector for the first 2 days I was using it. Now, it’s fine. Also, the screen balance is hard to readjust once the balance was off. So if I got the screen straight and balance the first time I turned it on then I shouldn’t move the projector otherwise i wouldn’t be able to fix it unless I turn it off and on again.

My impression of the Samsung freestyle projector is that it's one fantastic portable entertainment and the size of a large can. Out of the box, the device is sleek and impressive with all it offers. It's a simplistic piece of technology functional entertainment. Set up is simple, especially if you already have Samsung devices within your home. The projector offers a dashboard display very similar to Samsung's TVs dashboard. The projector emits good sound quality and is best inside a room vs. outside if you plan to use it to host an outdoor movie. One of my favorite features was the auto-adjusting and auto-focus. These made the experience more enjoyable, especially when someone that isn't so tech-savvy. It's pretty much a plug-and-play experience. Though I have enjoyed using this projector, there are a few things I wish it had. One is complete portability since there is no battery with the projector. A battery addon is supposedly in the works, which would be a nice touch. Another is having a storage input to play directly off a storage device instead of an internet source or a mobile device. Overall, I'm happy with this projector because of its design and features. I'm looking forward to having many entertainment hours with it. We travel and go camping a lot, I wanted something that I could take with us so we have the option of watching movies when we are out. I have a hotspot on my phone so anything that requires wifi will work, but I get tired of watching things on my Tablet. The Freestyle Projector is exactly what we needed in our life. It is a small, wifi-capable, smart device that has all your regular streaming apps. You can use it on a wall, or even on the wall of your tent. You can make the picture as large or small as you need. It has a built-in speaker that produces great sound, and it plugs into the plug on our jeep or any wall plug. I love that we can take it anywhere, think about it if you rent a hotel room why pay them a huge price for a movie when you can just take this along and have all your streaming services? I am learning very quickly that this is one of the first things that needs to be packed for trips or just movie nights in the backyard. I feel like everyone should have one!

Well, first of all I must start saying I don't understand the lowest stars reviews. I am not a projector veteran, but without innovations like this Samsung The Freestyle be sure I would never be. Projectors are quite demanding beings, they've always been. They require proper cabling, proper energy supply, dedicated input and output, dedicated heathsink, dedicated light conditions. Really, projectors are among the most impractical things out there. And well, we all know this since the beginning! So, stop yelling of being disappointed about this product. I've got before only one projector, purchased specifically for one single, simple, basic task, which was to project ebooks in the evening. I would not have purchased a projector for other, more demanding uses, like replacing a TV display, for the impracticalities mentioned above. I ensure you I've made some research around the world of projectors, before realising that projectors were not quite for me. And previous to this The Freestyle entered the market, I was sure I was right. Besides the projectors whose prices are thirty times above the budget, all the other consumer projectors in the market have something (intentionally?) missing... one is excellent but too large, one is excellent but too heavy, one is excellent but hasn't the lastest wireless, one is excellent but cannot be charged with powerbanks, one is excellent but is too small, one is excellent but has no auto tilt function, one is excellent but cannot be attached to the wall, one is... well, you got it, it goes on and on like this. It looks like a trap for money. Better even not to start at all. Yet, finally this Samsung The Freestyle came out, and finally I've seen something not wanting to compromise at all costs. It is a very well designed and realized piece of kit, capable of being effortlessly set up, packed with the most recent technologies, put together to be enjoyable to use in seconds, anywhere you feel it is movie time. I think it must have been fruit of some brilliant marketing insight. I would have never been happy in putting my money in one of the many other projectors which are always missing some feature unless you are ready to buy the most expensive of them, and still be ready to remain unsatisfied when a new tech will come out in three months. With this The Freestyle I feel honestly served well. I've got a package truth to its design, minimalistic and of quality, easy to use and to enjoy, which is above my expectations on all the important things: excellent image, robust sound, seamless connection, silent, quality charger and cable, handy remote, well in general better performance than expected.

Just got this and it’s awesome. I’m so happy with this projector. First of all, it was packaged neatly and easy to unpack and begin using. It looks very cool and high tech. The initial setup was quick, easy, and self explanatory. I was able to sign into my accounts such as Samsung, Netflix and Amazon with no issues. I was using it in no time, literally within minutes. I’ve always wanted to project on my vaulted ceiling for fun and this did not disappoint. It’s like having a portable smart tv and the picture is fantastic! Sharp and clear. All of the features are top notch.

The Freestyle is more a lifestyle device. It gives you access to our connected world in a way no other device has. It's an entertainment device that can be an extension to other mobile devices but can easily stand alone. For the minimalists, a phone and The Freestyle could be all they need for a simple clean space. The professional could host a presentation in the airport, restaurant or just about anywhere. An entertainer, can play music videos or put-up digital art to fit the mood. Possibilities are literally endless with the Freestyle! The image is bright, crisp and vibrant. You'll forget you're not watching a regular TV aside from the available size. In the dark it's surprisingly bright but not washed out. With the shades open in the middle of the day images are still bright enough to enjoy it just lacks some contrast. The autofocus and image adjusts in less than 2 seconds on nearly any flat surface and at the most awkward of angles. It even works on semi-flat surfaces with different textures and colors. My girls absolutely love it, they can put images on the wall in their rooms or play area. If you want to trace an image onto the wall what better way to do it and at the size you want. My wife set it up for my daughter’s sleepover/birthday party, everyone loved using it. Especially at night watching movies on the ceiling in the hotel. A few parents already asked about it. To sum it up, The Freestyle has a bright and vibrant picture with one of the best auto focus and image adjusting sensors I've experienced. It can be used in nearly any room which is especially good on the go! Samsung’s interface is intuitive and easy to navigate with the rechargeable remote. This isn’t a gadget you’ll purchase and put to the side after a few months. I look forward to the battery, other accessories and future iterations of The Freestyle. Samsung has the opportunity to add additional colors like matte black, blue, silver yellow. Offering a form fitting hard case for travel would bump up the value out of the box. Maybe a software update to allow focus lock. There were a few occasions where dramatic changes in the color of a show would cause the unit to try an autofocus. This only happened on surfaces that weren't as reflective.

I love this thing! I have purchased 3 other projectors in the last few years trying to find something that could be set up for family movie night or maybe a movie in the backyard. every one of my previous purchases were disappointing. So I purchased this samsung freestyle, not expecting much more than what i had before due to the lower price point on this at best buy. Within minutes of hooking this projector up i realized just how much nicer it was, how easy it set up, just pointed it at the screen and let the auto keystone work its magic. We placed it in the backyard around sunset and the picture still displayed bright and clear on a 90 inch screen, it paired seamlesly with our bluetooth soundsystem and streamed a movie witout any additional equipment. It also works flawlessly with my s22 for casting videos. Hoghley recommend for someone buying their fist projector. Looks great with my PS5 as well!

Great little projector that has a lot of pros and a couple cons. Pros Small form factor Amazing built in speaker that can get decently loud! Built in apps and App Store Great in dark or very low light rooms Cons A bit dim. Unusable in a bright room and struggles in mid-bright rooms Cost is a bit high. Worth it on sale otherwise.

Pre-ordered back in January and received in February. My first projector and its a cool gadget. Images are sharp with well defined colors in a dark enough room, but definitely gets washed out a bit in daylight. I’ve typically used for travel in hotel rooms and once you get connected to the wifi, its great to use your streaming apps. UI does lag some but it has improved over time with software updates that have come out. Audio works well when watchinf content as well. Issues I have are I couldnt get an IPTV app to work at all. I use a chromecast 4k dongle with it on rhe road to get best performance. But that turns this $1k device into an expensive display. Audio streaming (bluetooth/airplay) isn’t a great performer either. If you have the volume anywhere above 50%, you’re likely to have sound cut out for bassier music. I’ve even experienced this with podcasts if i have the volume up. Definitely didnt expect this to be the best performing device for audio, but it makes the listening experience a pain when audio cuts out. Again this is for audio only media, but video w/ audio has never given me issues. Overall its a cool device that mostly works well and is fairly portable, yet pricey.

Excellent Product. Wish it was brighter. The projector is white so it gets dirty easily. UI is little slow when navigating through apps. Speakers sound clear but not loud even on max volume. WiFi through my phone is excellent. It does get slightly hot so you have to make sure it’s vented properly. Overall satisfied. would buy again.

Best investment ever. So compact & easy to take anywhere! The picture quality & sound are 10/10, I really don’t see a reason to ever buy a TV again!! It’s easy to use & navigate so super user friendly! I also appreciate the fact that I have access to live shows or movies through Samsung TV such a plus when I don’t know what to watch :)

When I first received this projector I was very shocked how little it was but when I opened it up & seen how neat it looked I was impressed.. very easy to operate..step by step instructions. As long as you have WiFi your good to go. You do have to have darkness too watch. We automatically started watching Netflix on the ceiling..you can’t take this projector anywhere in your house or anywhere you go..that’s the best part!!

Very portable, good picture BUT it lacking hard on brightness so it’s very dim. Buy the version 2 of this same model and skip this first iteration of this projector.

Okay can I first say that I love the idea of this projector! Having a portable 100-inch screens is a dream. Adding on the fact that its lightweight and puts away easy makes the Freestyle ideal for those of us who like to stream and game anywhere. Now here's where things get a bit sticky for me; the auto keystone setting, the applications functionality and ambiance mode. I had troubles using with these features. The auto keystone feature was a great idea. Your average consumer isn't someone you'd expect to know how to keystone, so when I saw this feature I was blown away. Unfortunately it doesn't really work, no matter the position of the projector the auto keystone didnt work well. And if that wasn't disappointing enough once you get the placement correct turning it off isn't an option unless you want to start that process over. Next is the application functions, going from one streaming service to another would make the system freeze. An easy fix in the long run but as of right now it can be very vexing to deal with. Finally, ambient mode. Let me say that the normal ambient mode is great and works well, the issue occurred when using personal photos. There isn't a way to modify or adjust the photos, making the option almost useless. Outside of that I think this is a good start for what I hope is a long line of Freestyle projectors. ***16 Days and 1 update later and I still feel like there is a little work to be done.

This Samsung freestyle projector has such an amazing brightness for a picture. Easy to use remote and it even has a charging port to charge it. I love the fact it is small and easy to transport around with you no matter where you go. You can watch movies anywhere and not worry about carrying a bulky item around. It has great streaming capabilities with hulu and Netflix. It also had a samsung TV option that works great but can be a tad annoying when you are trying to do other things with the projector. But other then that it works fast and quality is great. I love the technology and ease of this projector.
