It’s a very cool new device from Samsung. Overall, it’s a combination of a projector, app entwinement and speaker into portable form. It mimics menu structure and functionality from modern Samsung TVs, even remote has familiar layout. Ambient mode let’s you projects beautiful scenery or just a simple Happy Birthday message onto any not reflective flat surface, up to 100” Pros: - Portable projector - Built in apps and screen mirroring - Loud speaker Cons: - Remote power is shared with Samsung TVs, so both devices can’t be in the same room - Needs darker room, as it’s not very bright - Slower than TV menu - No full size HDMI, adapter needed I have received this a free product for an honest review.

Overall great quality of product. Only problem with it is the cord. If it was a cordless projector it would be 5 stars. It was easy setup, easy to use and quality of sound and picture is great. Cord it has is good length making it easy to use in most places just not everywhere.

We travel and go camping a lot, I wanted something that I could take with us so we have the option of watching movies when we are out. I have a hotspot on my phone so anything that requires wifi will work, but I get tired of watching things on my Tablet. The Freestyle Projector is exactly what we needed in our life. It is a small, wifi-capable, smart device that has all your regular streaming apps. You can use it on a wall, or even on the wall of your tent. You can make the picture as large or small as you need. It has a built-in speaker that produces great sound, and it plugs into the plug on our jeep or any wall plug. I love that we can take it anywhere, think about it if you rent a hotel room why pay them a huge price for a movie when you can just take this along and have all your streaming services? I am learning very quickly that this is one of the first things that needs to be packed for trips or just movie nights in the backyard. I feel like everyone should have one!

When I first received this projector I was very shocked how little it was but when I opened it up & seen how neat it looked I was impressed.. very easy to operate..step by step instructions. As long as you have WiFi your good to go. You do have to have darkness too watch. We automatically started watching Netflix on the ceiling..you can’t take this projector anywhere in your house or anywhere you go..that’s the best part!!

Okay can I first say that I love the idea of this projector! Having a portable 100-inch screens is a dream. Adding on the fact that its lightweight and puts away easy makes the Freestyle ideal for those of us who like to stream and game anywhere. Now here's where things get a bit sticky for me; the auto keystone setting, the applications functionality and ambiance mode. I had troubles using with these features. The auto keystone feature was a great idea. Your average consumer isn't someone you'd expect to know how to keystone, so when I saw this feature I was blown away. Unfortunately it doesn't really work, no matter the position of the projector the auto keystone didnt work well. And if that wasn't disappointing enough once you get the placement correct turning it off isn't an option unless you want to start that process over. Next is the application functions, going from one streaming service to another would make the system freeze. An easy fix in the long run but as of right now it can be very vexing to deal with. Finally, ambient mode. Let me say that the normal ambient mode is great and works well, the issue occurred when using personal photos. There isn't a way to modify or adjust the photos, making the option almost useless. Outside of that I think this is a good start for what I hope is a long line of Freestyle projectors. ***16 Days and 1 update later and I still feel like there is a little work to be done.

Well, first of all I must start saying I don't understand the lowest stars reviews. I am not a projector veteran, but without innovations like this Samsung The Freestyle be sure I would never be. Projectors are quite demanding beings, they've always been. They require proper cabling, proper energy supply, dedicated input and output, dedicated heathsink, dedicated light conditions. Really, projectors are among the most impractical things out there. And well, we all know this since the beginning! So, stop yelling of being disappointed about this product. I've got before only one projector, purchased specifically for one single, simple, basic task, which was to project ebooks in the evening. I would not have purchased a projector for other, more demanding uses, like replacing a TV display, for the impracticalities mentioned above. I ensure you I've made some research around the world of projectors, before realising that projectors were not quite for me. And previous to this The Freestyle entered the market, I was sure I was right. Besides the projectors whose prices are thirty times above the budget, all the other consumer projectors in the market have something (intentionally?) missing... one is excellent but too large, one is excellent but too heavy, one is excellent but hasn't the lastest wireless, one is excellent but cannot be charged with powerbanks, one is excellent but is too small, one is excellent but has no auto tilt function, one is excellent but cannot be attached to the wall, one is... well, you got it, it goes on and on like this. It looks like a trap for money. Better even not to start at all. Yet, finally this Samsung The Freestyle came out, and finally I've seen something not wanting to compromise at all costs. It is a very well designed and realized piece of kit, capable of being effortlessly set up, packed with the most recent technologies, put together to be enjoyable to use in seconds, anywhere you feel it is movie time. I think it must have been fruit of some brilliant marketing insight. I would have never been happy in putting my money in one of the many other projectors which are always missing some feature unless you are ready to buy the most expensive of them, and still be ready to remain unsatisfied when a new tech will come out in three months. With this The Freestyle I feel honestly served well. I've got a package truth to its design, minimalistic and of quality, easy to use and to enjoy, which is above my expectations on all the important things: excellent image, robust sound, seamless connection, silent, quality charger and cable, handy remote, well in general better performance than expected.

I've had my projector for some time now and am obsessed with it! This device does it all, with functions similar to a smart TV, I can access all my favorite apps without the need of an additional device, including Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and more. Additionally, the technology within this device makes using it extremely convenient. It has auto focus and auto scaling abilities to ensure that the picture is clear, sharp, and straight the moment it is turned on. The bluetooth functionality is also convenient as it allows external speakers to be synced as well (very helpful in case the internal speaker isn't loud enough). The software was initially a bit laggy, but with the latest update, everything loads seemlessly. Overall, Samsung has made a standout product in the projector category.

This Samsung freestyle projector has such an amazing brightness for a picture. Easy to use remote and it even has a charging port to charge it. I love the fact it is small and easy to transport around with you no matter where you go. You can watch movies anywhere and not worry about carrying a bulky item around. It has great streaming capabilities with hulu and Netflix. It also had a samsung TV option that works great but can be a tad annoying when you are trying to do other things with the projector. But other then that it works fast and quality is great. I love the technology and ease of this projector.

Just got this and it’s awesome. I’m so happy with this projector. First of all, it was packaged neatly and easy to unpack and begin using. It looks very cool and high tech. The initial setup was quick, easy, and self explanatory. I was able to sign into my accounts such as Samsung, Netflix and Amazon with no issues. I was using it in no time, literally within minutes. I’ve always wanted to project on my vaulted ceiling for fun and this did not disappoint. It’s like having a portable smart tv and the picture is fantastic! Sharp and clear. All of the features are top notch.

This freestyle projector in my opinion is a game changer say good bye to TVs and hello to The Samsung freestyle projector. The picture quality on this projector is phenomenal and so clear. I love that I’m able to watch my favorite streaming apps easily on this projector. My favorites are Netflix, Disney+, and HboMax! When you on the Home Screen you can see the amount and types of apps you can download are endless from streaming apps, music, games, live tv, and more. The volume goes up to 100 and it’s pretty loud to me. The projector itself is so sleek and I love the circular design. The bottom platform allows it to have a sturdy flat surface at times. I can angle the projector as high as I want as well as as low as I needed it. The remote that comes with the projector is so thin but a good thin and it has everything you need on there. It’s very easy to access the live tv feature which is so underrated! Live tv is a bonus for sure because it has so many categories of show genres! Overall I love it and so does my hubby. We have used it in our backyard this past weekend for a birthday party sleepover and the kids loved it! I’ve had so many ask me about it and how they would love to have it in their home. It’s amazing and portable! You can literally take it anywhere, just unplug and take with you. That’s the secret weapon with the product and what makes it more worth it. You can put in your purse, backpack or just carry it. It’s very light weight. I also want to mention that set up was easy. I signed into my Samsung account and my Amazon account and everything was a breeze. I did setup using the remote rather than my phone and it didn’t take long at all. 10min max If that. When it came to casting my iPhone it was a breeze which I really loved!

I conceptually love the projector (portability, simple design, small size etc) but reality has failed to deliver the hoped for experience. I think it's trying to be too clever. From day 1, we have experienced significant setup and playback issues. The firmware (per other reviews) does not work properly: it glitches, stalls out. The remote (fully charged) is unreliable, regardless of distance from the projector. I've had multiple smart TVs from Samsung - I'm not sure why they don't just do something similar. We tried operating via quick set up (not smart, not quick). We've tried screen mirroring via Mac, and it's very difficult to consistently get the sound to come out of our external bluetooth speakers. The drooping that others mention is a problem. The projector gets very hot, and when it does it droops. I'd return this if I could, but after waiting 2 months for delivery the 15 day return window has expired.

This projector is very portable. We have had a few projectors it is always dreadful when the bulb stars to go. Being LED i am not concern about that. Not unsure how that works or what is the upkeep of this device but at the moment i am very satisfied. The best parts is the auto focus and the automatic keystone. It works well. Only issue i see is the brightness when my laptop is connected; video is more bright on laptop than projector. Sound is good. Can connect bluetooth with ease.

This is my 2nd projector and I’m very satisfied. I bought it in an open-box excellent condition. It came with a charger, lens cover and remote control. It works great. The picture quality is great. I can watch Samsung tv for free. There are lots of good apps. It just feels like I’m having a 100 in Samsung tv. Plus, I can use my Samsung tv remote with my Samsung projector and vice versa. The projector remote is chargeable. The projector is light, portable. Things that I don’t about it is that the remote kept unpairing itself from the projector for the first 2 days I was using it. Now, it’s fine. Also, the screen balance is hard to readjust once the balance was off. So if I got the screen straight and balance the first time I turned it on then I shouldn’t move the projector otherwise i wouldn’t be able to fix it unless I turn it off and on again.

Amazing little projector. Auto focus and keystone work really well. Only downside is it requires a micro HDMI if you want to stream from a computer or play games. Casting and Bluetooth work really well.

Best investment ever. So compact & easy to take anywhere! The picture quality & sound are 10/10, I really don’t see a reason to ever buy a TV again!! It’s easy to use & navigate so super user friendly! I also appreciate the fact that I have access to live shows or movies through Samsung TV such a plus when I don’t know what to watch :)

Very portable, good picture BUT it lacking hard on brightness so it’s very dim. Buy the version 2 of this same model and skip this first iteration of this projector.

This projector has been super fun to use! It is super light and very practical. We have moved it from room to room and it never disappoints. The system had a little lag at the beginning, but all I needed was to update the software through the app. I love the fact that I can project my favorite shows on the ceiling, and if I get tired, I can just adjust it to the wall. My FAVORITE way to use the projector is while I do homework! I can easily project what I am typing in Microsoft Word, or play background music and videos while I'm trying to focus. I think this product would be perfect for families with kids, due to its portability and amazing quality.
