Like the quality of the picture. Still need a 4K Blue Ray to see if there is a difference.

Hard to compare this 4K player since there really aren't others on the market right now. That being said, we've watched several 4K movies and they will blow you away! The little details are amazing. Worth the price if you want cutting edge tech.

We invested in this 4K bluray player because we needed to upgrade to a 4K player after we purchased our 4K television. We have enjoyed it so far but anxiously are waiting on new 4K movies to be released.

Upscales amazing. 4k blurays look even better. What's not to like?

I like the Sammy first gen UHD 4K Blu Ray player. It offers fast start up and disc loading. Playback is very good and settings/controls are easy to adjust. The built-in HDR control makes for a truly remarkable viewing experience. I think the only drawback if I can call it that is the size of the remote. It's tiny and not backlit. It's nicely designed aside from its size.

Finally able to watch 4k movies and looks great from this player

4k movies are beatiful..only complaint is with the movie studio's not filling the screen have at least 5in border on top and bottom of my 65in tv...3d is great and up scaling blue rays are beautiful! Definitely buy this player.

There are only 2 4K players out so far and this one is the cheaper of the 2. I wanted an all Samsung setup to avoid issues and this player has been great so far! It boots up very fast and has a nice interface. The remote could be larger. The buttons are so small I sometimes press the wrong one. I like the look and size of the player. It easily fits on my TV stand. Picture Quality is excellent! The only limit is the source material. There are not many true 4K discs out there yet. Most are 2K masters unconverted to 4K. The main reason to buy this player would be because you just bought a new 4K TV and you need a player for it.

I trust the Best Buy folks who sold me our Samsung 65" UHD TV. They told me to get the Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Ultra HD Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player and as always I trusted them them. As of today there isn't many 4K Movies to choose from, but I feel that Best Buy will be getting lots of then soon. The player does an excellent job of upping a DVD Movie to make it look good.

The player itself is great, all the content looks good, streaming 4K over 802.11AC works blazing fast too. I only have a few complaints, Remote is worst of any I've used in last decade lol, and the size of the player is rather large for such a lite unit. Otherwise, this is a great player, use a universal remote if you got one. Hooked up to a Samsung 65in curved tv.

It took a few weeks, I guess they were on back order but I managed to order on and am very happy with it. Its a little pricey but if you are 4k ready its a must have! Just watched the Revenant in 4k and the picture quality is amazing!

Love our new Samsung Blu-ray Player. After reading the reviews, we decided to go ahead and spend a little more for the 4K Ultra HD since it is the only one available at this time. WOW! what a difference! The picture quality is great! The unit is super easy to use especially since Geek Squad hooked it up to our remote. Well worth the money! You can tell a difference!

I bought this DVD player to go along with the Samsung 65" HD 4K TV. The DVD player provides stunning images and picture along with the TV. What I DO NOT like is the control for the DVD player. You see, you have to press two different control buttons to fast forward a DVD. The controls are NOT logically oriented and there was no user manual that came along with the player. I am not sure Sony would have been any more friendly if I had purchased a Sony instead. I purchased this DVD player because it was on sale. Best Buy Geek Squad says they offer an in-house instructional for the DVD player. I may take the time and go do it. In my opinion, you shouldn't have to take time out of a busy schedule to go to an instructional session to adequately lean how to operate a DVD player. Manufactures listen up; "provide a detailed instruction manual" and design a controller that is user friendly for crying out loud. For this reason I give the product four stars. It could be three stars just as easily.

Samsung did a good job for being the first 4K ultra DVD player out on the market. The price is a little high for the build quality but this is expected for being the first out of the gate. Samsung needs to provide more picture controls and better information regarding the adjustments for picture controls. Hopefully this will all fall in place with future firmware updates. If you have a 4k TV you should be purchasing a 4K DVD player to go with it.

It gets the job done... I would personally prefer getting the Panasonic 4K blu ray player, you get a much better picture quality and more features but of course at a much higher price as well.. so if you're on a budget and you want get into the would of 4K then I would recommend picking up the Samsung 4k Blu-ray player. but if you could hold off and wait, save a little bit more money to get the Panasonic 4K Blu-ray player when it's available in the US.

Player starts playing UHD discs pretty quickly, not much wait time. Picture quality is excellent. Remote is oddly small and awkward, I had to get universal remote to control the player but that is the only negative thing I can think of. Netflix app on the machine streams in 4k

The Samsung 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray player is simply awesome. If you have a 4k TV you will definitely need a 4K player to appreciate your screen, and this one does not disappoint. In addition to playing the newer 4K formatted video discs, it offers built-in upscaling technology, so your standard Blu-ray discs look even better on your 4K screen than they would using a standard Blu-ray player. The player is thin and sleek. It only has 4 buttons on the top (Power, Play/Pause, Stop and Eject) as well as one button on the front (Eject). The remote is small and simple with plenty of buttons to control a variety of Samsung electronics. Excellent quality sound and picture. Just remember to get the high-speed (category 2) HDMI cable to get the full effect.

Does an excellent job on 4K dvd's and blue ray up scale.

We purchased this 4K blu-ray player to accompany the 4K Sony TV we have had for over a year. We have noticed improvement compared to our previous player in both picture and audio quality with non-4K blu-ray discs; we have not purchased any 4k discs, yet, so I cannot comment on that. The player's interface is easy to navigate. The remote is very small; hence, the buttons on the remote are very small and somewhat difficult to detect when the lights in the room are low. The buttons on the player itself need only to be touched, not pressed. This is a great feature, except for the times when our dogs nose at the player and end up shutting it off during a movie! ;-) Overall, this has been a worthwhile purchase and we have had no difficulties with it.

Glad this thing is finally here. It plays 4k amazing!
