Great Ultra HD Blu-ray player and 4K Streamer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This model is the first generation UHD 4K Blu-ray player, it is a good price and it is not overpriced because, if anyone remembers, the original Blu-ray Disc players 10 years ago cost more than twice than this and didn't play very well, including that original Samsung model. This model plays everything you ask it to, Blu-ray, UHD Blu-ray, 3D, DVD and CD, very quick loading and with easy setup. It needs you to connect an 18Gbps HDMI cable to the HDCP 2.2 compliant UHDTV either directly to its HDCP 2.2 compliant HDMI input or an AVR (Audio Video Receiver) that is, to get its fantastic 4K picture off of the UHD 4K Blu-ray Discs and 4K streaming from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and yes, YOU-TUBE 4K video, as it DOES V9 decoding. I have had this player and enjoyed it, the 4K video from the UHD Blu-ray discs is definitely an upgrade, it is amazing and if you hook the HDMI secondary audio output from the back of the this player to your AVR, you don't need to get a new AVR to get it setup for playing the lossless HD-audio content, great job, Samsung!.
