However, twice (once with a brand new blue-ray and once with a brand new DVD) the player froze. The only way I could un-freeze it was to unplug the player. I will be bringing it back to Best Buy for an exchange for a new one. Hopefully, I will not have the same issue.

However, when it works, it's worth the cost and Blu Ray upscaling has been excellent. I've had this hardware since Day 1 and the updates have been slow, almost non-existent, otherwise this would be 5-stars.

It has the ability for HDR playback. Naturally, I wanted to see that playback in action. BestBuy had a half price sale on these upscale products and I bit. I couldn't be happier. My BluRay's look better and Star Trek in UHD with HDR looks incredible. I love the product.

Sound was anemic on the surround channels, went thorough all the settings and still nothing. My Blu-Ray player sounds amazing on the surround channels so it can't be the receiver. One other thing is that with CEC enabled it locks up the TV and any commands I send it won't do anything, not even turn the tv off.

We were using my husbands ps4, which was fine, but I hated having to use the game controller. Now, I can work all of the controller's without having to ask my husband which button on the ps4. It was worth every penny, plus it's a nice player for watching movies!!! Happy with our purchase!
