I purchased this Blu-ray player because my Sony would no longer play the newer Blu-ray discs. Not sure if this was an internal problem or just built-in obsolescence. New player works well and plays all of my Blu-ray discs without issue so far. The set-up however was quite cumbersome with many hoops to jump through including very long-winded privacy statements.

There is NO repeat function! That is my only complaint. Great picture.

This player has a few quirks I feel may improve with future firmware updates. Produces great picture only after calibration though. My biggest complaint is the cheap(plastic) looking design compared to the rest of my reference equipment. It will do till another manufacturer releases a better option.

We like this player. The picture is clear and the features are great.

Pretty good for $200. The remote sucks, buf the player is pretty solid.

Works perfect with our 4k set up and also does a nice job upconverting.

This is a very nice looking Blu-Ray Player and thats about it. Its very slow (very laggy; probably due to a very weak processor) The Quality is very good and exceptional but if you do not have an HDR TV it shows blacks extremely dark. Maybe its because of my lack of HDR in the tv but it was too dark to even enjoy the movies I purchased. that and the controller was just very limited. I have the controler for my tv with pinpoint and its just a dream making the remote for the blu ray player unnecessary. All in all i returned the product cut my losses and waited for the 4K Xbox One to come out. That is a cheaper alternative and satisfies gaming needs as well as AV needs.

The product is ok... I would recommend choosing a different brand. I had a few software issue right out of the box. Also Samsung tech/service department were the worst company I have ever talked with. I am still wait for a call from a "supervisor" it's almost been two weeks. Buy at your own risk, I would return my product if I could.

Had to return first unit per factory service rep but 2nd is terrific!

I love all of the features this 4k Blu-ray has. good picture quality.

This newest blue Ray player with 4k is elite for clear movie pictures

I had the 4k player for a little over one week then it stopped working. It would shut off after several minutes. I had this hooked up to my surround sound recevicer and my Samsung 4k tv. When the player would shut off it would also turn off the tv and receiver. Geek squad troubleshot the settings but it nothing helped. Returned the player to Best Buy and exchanged it for the same model. Took it home and when we tried installing a disc the try would not open. It made a horrible grinding sound and then shut off. I exchanged for another player and haven't had any problems in the two weeks of owning this one. The player itself looks and feels cheap. It's outer shell is made of thin plastic and the set up menu is very basic. I expected way better performance and quality for a 400 dollars! The picture quality when watching 4k disc blurry during fast action scenes and the sharpness is not much better than my 1080 tv I have in another room. VERY DISAPPOINTED! I bought the Panasonic UB900 hoping it would be better than this Samsung. The Panasonic is amazing! The picture is absolutely perfect! This player is very expensive but I was able to get it on sale for 599 dollars, retails for 799. I personally think it's worth every penny. The colors are amazing, the picture remains sharp even through fast scenes and the Samsung doesn't come close to the performance. The price has dropped from 400 to 200 and it honestly isn't worth it. The manager at Best Buy was friendly and very helpful. The customer care I experienced was outstanding as always but the product was terrible. Best Buy has the best customer service and the managers go above and beyond to statisfy your needs.

This is not an upconvert but a true 4K player. The only downside is that Sony and Samsung have not come to an agreement on the HDR standard, so not all the Sony 4K TVs except for the latest models will allow it to play to its maximum advantage. The difference is barely noticeable, however.

The blue ray player works great. Even movies on DVD look really good. The only things I don't like and why I give it only 3 stars is the tiny horrible remote and I can't tell if the unit is on or not. Not at all like my previous players. Maybe after a couple of years I will get used to it.

This is great,and since i have it,i buy 4k movies alot more often.

It has very limited amount of movies available, and I really can't tell much of a difference in this and bluray. But Samsung is the best in my opinion
