I do like this model of DVD player. It inhances my older DVD's very well. We just bought a 4k movie this weekend and will watch it soon to see the quality of all the new components.

4k video is great. Ultra HD Blu-ray, Netflix, Amazon. Everything looks great.

The Magnolia sales person was very knowledgeable and helpful, informing me of numerous options and promotions without pressuring me. When I was purchasing the LG OLED TV, he informed me of was this Samsung player and that many other UHD players were inadequate do to the refresh rates. Best to check!

Good player but to expensive , you can get a similar one for less money at 99$

Just purchased a Sony 4K Ultra HD television and needed the player to go with it. This one had great reviews and I can definitely see why as the color reproduction and depths of blacks really stand out. Great purchase and good value.

This is best tv I've ever had. I read that LG has a customer service issue (online of course, so I'd take that with grain of salt) so I bought the extra warranty just in case. zero interest and needed new tv didn't go wrong with this.

I would buy it again. My family loves to watch movies on Friday nights. It gives us the time we need to spend as a family group. It brings us all closer together, and saves us money by staying home instead of getting out on the town.

In order to watch 4k a 4k player is required... there are only a couple on the market. Works well but was costy

Just purchased a 65in samsung 4k set and was looking for 4k player with upscaling aswell. Hooked it up and didnt load up hdr for ID4 so i updated firmware. ID4 played fine after but Deadpool did not. Put in reg blus in and they upscaled looking amazing. I couldnt belive the picture upgrade. After that popped in Deadpool again and everything played fine, and then it frooze and cut off. Disc did not eject. Took back to store and got a xboxS

I own over 3,500 movies and own a lot of equipment. I read the reviews of this product and noted that it had an expanded color pallet so I purchased 2 of them. They are great and worth every dollar. Highly recommend this unit.

I was disappointed in the picture quality of the 4K blu-rays in HDR. There is a red pixelated highlight over objects on the screen that are not supposed to be red. Much more obvious in some movies like San Andreas and Hitman. Apparently Samsung is aware of the issue, just do not know how to fix it. If their player is not stable with 4K HDR yet they shouldn't have released it. Regular blu-rays and 3D movies look very good however.

A lot of apps compared to the field. Good not best picture though. Top HDR TV 2016 models need a better player but nothing will have appa like this. Turns any TV into a smart TV.

This player is to my observation (having watched a couple of dozen DVD, Blu-ray and the provided Ultra HD Blu-ray of The Martian) a good player; quick on the upload, a decent on-screen menu, and interfaces well with my Samsung 50" UHD. The remote is limited and flimsy, and too small to navigate with easily. I have an older Sony Blu-ray player, one of the first post-format-war models, which still plays beautifully. I did some head-to-head tests playing the same Blu-rays and DVDs, and there was no appreciable "upscaling" with the Samsung. I'm still exploring the settings and menus, and may find ways to further improve the picture (though I doubt it). As I may rent and possible purchase 4K discs in the future, I will keep it, though I almost returned it a few days after purchase.

I would rate this unit higher, but the main interface (the remote control) is stupidly horrible. I mean it sucks -period- Too small, hardly any tactile response, tiny buttons built for someone with the hands of a 5 year old-too close together and small, too few buttons etc.

This bluray player gave me the ability to stream/cast from my Samsung Tablet to my Samsung tv - as the tv was too old a model, and did not have this function. Great!!! Just wait for the sale, so you don't have to pay $300+!

This is a great player with tons of flexibility. There's many apps that are supported and set up on this player was easy. My favorite thing about this bd player is the speed on it. It actually loads the discs very quickly.
