Got this so I can buy those expensive discs to play on my tv. Worked great but froze up when I tried to play blurays. Had to unplug the power to get it to work. And then they announced the Xbox one s that does the same thing as this and plays games. So back it went and got the Xbox instead.

Good player but with my 4K tv, sometimes I can't tell the difference

Purchased k8500 4k player for my Samsung un65js9000 and a major difference from my blue ray player. I will be purchasing another k8500 4k player for my un65js8500.

We like this player a lot- it plays the regular dvds, blue ray as well as the new 4K ones. We haven't had any issues and it works excellently with our curved tv, which is the reason we needed to update our DVD player!

This Samsung unit couples very nicely with the 65 inch Samsung TV in my living room. It upgrades my regular Blu Ray discs and plays the UHD Disks beautifully.

This was a great purchase. It was basically plug and play. You can sure see the difference in quality when playing "any" DVD let alone the awesome UHD quality.

The only reason I purchased this 4k player was because I got a smoking deal on it. When it comes to playing 4k blu ray discs, it works wonderfully and without fault. I have two main issues with the player, one small and one big. The small issue is that there is no digital screen on the front and I didn't think i'd care, but it's nice to see where you're at in a movie. The bigger issue I have is that the few times I've streamed amazon, I've made it through an hour of watching and then it crashed and said I ran out of bandwidth. I've streamed from two other blu ray players and never had this issue before.

I hooked this up to a TV that was only a monitor so it was great to have all the extras like Netflix and Amazon TV, and the Internet available through the dvd player

Its by far the best player we have owned yet. It interacts well with my 9000 series curved TV. My kids really like the 3D features as well with all there movies.

I bought the new HD player to replace a 8 year old DVD blu-ray player. I cannot believe the difference in clarity, colors and overall wow factor! Great product

This player is pretty good, although I am comparing it to an Xbox one console blu-ray. Could tell a major difference.

Really good 4K DVD player that is easy to work and setup. Load time is great with no lag and has really good controls and features.

We purchased this with our new 55 inch Samsung TV. Couldn't ask for a better combination to watch movies in 4k UHD.

If you have a UHD TV you need one these DVD players. Playback of 4K movies is stunning and the 4K upscaling even brings your older HD DVD's up to a new level.

Bought it to go with our 4K tv. Read the reviews online and was sold on the product when I spoke to the Best Buy sales man who knew the item backwards and forward.

This player is a good one for sure. The only criticism that I have is the playback is sometimes a bit choppy. Not sure if that is a player feature or because the technology is so new. Otherwise a great player!
