I was told that to get the quality 3D picture to equal the LG demo this was the way to go. I did not get that 3D experiance, but it does a good job on the 4K picture.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this device to be able to play all our video file formats and DVDs and Blue Rays in our collection including those from other regions (countries). We even called Samsung to get technical support and after 2 weeks we are still awaiting a resolution so we decided to return the device and get our money back. Specifically it did not support/play other regional DVDs or blue rays (note that our two other Samsung devices play all regions e.g. Samsung HT-D5300 & Samsung BD-D6500 with a code that was found online to unlock the device, there is no code for the new Samsung 4K device), it inconsistently plays various formats e.g. mp4 (they play sometimes and not others including the very same file) and does not work with dolby digital true HD audio (no sound at all). I would recommend that unless you are just looking to play US purchased DVDs and Blue Rays to wait for another vendor to release their device.

Had a power failure on my street after initial set up and afterwards the sound bar took many, many attempts to reconnect via the TV- ARC circuit. If the "reboot" had gone as smoothly as the initial setup up I would have given 5 stars.
