I have since gotten a new one and haven't had any issues yet but looking online it seems the problem i had is not an unusual one. So give it a shot, but maybe it'd be worth getting some kinda protection plan.

One kept cutting of at random times with different movies, and the other one had horizontal lines through it. Have a Samsung 4K HDR tv that works great, but this uhd bluray player has TONS of issues. Wait for Panasonic or the oppo players to be released. Would of gave it NO stars if it were possible. Save your money!

Excellent 4K HDR Player!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this 4K bluray player to pair with with my LG EF9500 Oled 4K TV and I must say the combo together is amazing. I purchased Hitman 47 4k HDR version and popped it in and this movie looks amazing. I saw Hitman in the movies and on standard bluray and I must say there is no comparison. The depth and clarity of the picture is excellent and the Oled 4K TV's pure blacks produce amazing contrast. I used the Netflix app on the 4K bluray player to compare with the 4K streaming on the Netflix app on my 4K TV and I must say the 4K bluray players Netflix 4K picture looks better than the picture quality on the 4K Netflix picture on my 4K TV. I would recommend this player and if paired with the lg 4K oled this combo can't be beat.

Haven't played anymore DVD's so I have to give it a 3 star based on the first performance.
