    i like everything about it cant wait to get the ultra hd blu-ray movies for it ill be getting fantastic for monday or tuesday next week which i pre-ordered but the 4k streaming looks awesome blu-rays look awesome as well cant wait to see how great ultra hd blu-rays look on this player i just got the player yesterday probably like everyone else did that pre-ordered it i like the curve sleek design of it

    It does 4k, but I didn't see enough of a visual enhancement to justify keeping the machine - especially at nearly $300.00. It is just barely better than running a blu-ray on my ps4 pro on my hi sense 4k HDR 55" TV. If I had a 4k projector or a huge 4k display, then I might consider keeping it.

    Never appeared to display as four with two different 4K HDR TVs and about twenty 4K dvds. Best Buy warranty implementation process has complications that remove its value. Prefer to not use online for electronics but this experience has changed my opinion.

    IT will randomly go to a completely fussy screen. Sometimes only for seconds and sometimes considerably longer. It has happened on several 4K disc's and on Blue-Ray as well. I have used a disc cleaner and it hasn't helped.

    I have Samsung TV 658500. Now i have new Samsung UBD-K8500 4K, wow , This is DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 4K and 3D, Samsung make high quality electronic and the picture quality is amazing. it has a ton features and apps, Excellent 3D player I would recommend for everyone great pictures I'm very happy with my new Blu-ray 4K and 3D players

    This player is doing a great job of playing netflix and amazon 4k content. Can't wait until the first of March and the release of the first 4K UltraHD Discs are released. As far as the remote, looks like Samsung is taking the approach of simplifying it, I would recommend using the Samsung TV remotes if you want and desire a larger more robust remote.

    I am use to an Oppo BDP-105D Blu-Ray Player which is the best on the market and it is a 1080P player. My Oppo has a better picture in 1080P than this UHD Player in 4K. Using Samsung 75" UHD8500 Series TV.

    Granted that I do onto have HDR ability I don't see a huge difference. I played the blu ray version in my blu ray player vs 4k version in this 4k blu ray player and yes there is a difference but it really is just slightly smoother if you will. Spent some time tweaking the settings etc. Still not a big improvement. Especially I tried the same blu ray in both the 4k and blu ray player and next no improvement there upping to a 4k. Maybe when films are being widely filmed in 4k it will make a difference but as of now I really don't think it is worth the 400 dollars. As far as HDR goes I can stream HDR and I streamed the same exact show from Amazon on my TV (which give me HDR) and through the 4k player ... there was a difference in the lighting but not a whole lot and that I could potentially adjust in my TV settings. It seems to me HDR is just a way of linking to your TV for the optimal settings but if you can tweak things to your preferences it probably won't make much of a difference. All in all I am returning mine I just don't think it is worth it and so far 4k has not impressed me period. I am very happy with my TV and still happy I got the 4k version to future proof myself but it is definitely no where near going from standard to HD.

    Didn't want to play 4K movies but one in several times I tried, very noisy when trying to play 4K blue rays. Returned it. Even if not a gamer buy a Xbox 1s instead. Less expensive and better.

    First one dropped the picture returned. Second one lost the sound and picture would freeze. Talked to geek squad told me it was possible to get two bad units. Wasn't going to go for three.

    I had this for about two years it works like crap because couple times it will freeze and the build quality is cheap and if you connect it to like a different TV brand you will lose picture quality Will not Buy again

    This player has extreme problems with even playing most videos and rejects them because it can't read them. It takes 5 or 6 times to try to get it to play. When it does play, it does nothing to enhance the picture as advertised.

    Very Nice equipment and wonderful looking

    I received one of the first on Feb.10th release and also got the 4k version of the Martian on the Feb. 14th release date. This work great with my Samsung 65" 4k. The picture is phenomenal and looks as great as you would expect. The only thing is the remote is sooo small that sometimes you hit the wrong buttons. I Cant wait for more movies to be released.

    The 4k player loads 4k blu-ray/3d blu-ray/blu-ray/dvds at an astonishingly fast rate - about 7 seconds and you're ready to watch. It plays discs quickly and accurately. Connects well with my Samsung 4k curved 3D TV. I suggest a good HDMI 2.0 cable that fully supports 4k if you do not want brief skips/freezes while playing back in 4:2:2 mode (4k upscale). I had a cheap Amazon basics HDMI cable that was horrific for playback with multiple freezes/jumps/skips in picture, then upgraded to a $10 securomax HDMI 2.0/18gbps cable that plays back much smoother. Movies look amazing with this player. Everything is upscaled to 4k with vibrate, deep colors. The only drawback is the limited amount of streaming apps on the player. If you have a SmartTV and don't use apps on the player, this isn't a big deal. But a few apps that are missing that I would like to have added include the WWE network and Crunchyroll. Also, you are unable to manipulate the apps. For example, you cannot select your favorite apps to show on the home screen, the player selects those, forcing you to go into the app screen to find the app you want, which adds another step each time you want to stream. Not a big deal, but annoying after a while. I wanted Vudu and Netflix on the home screen, but it won't let me move those to the home screen. Also, most apps stream back in 1080p as apps like Vudu/Youtube/Netflix currently do not have 4k apps that work with this player. Bottom line - a fantastic 4k/blu-ray/dvd player if you have the right HDMI 2.0 / 18gbps cable and do not mind a lack of streaming apps that I'm sure will catch up over time.

    The player works as expected, HDR from the machine looks amazing. I bought the device after reading some reviews about the remote being too small for comfort, I have yet to accidentally hit buttons on the remote. when I removed the player I feared it would be loud while playing discs because its fairly light but its actually runs really quiet.

    Wouldn't work at all on my TV (Samsung KS-8500). Samsung tech walked through troubleshooting but ultimately had me send it back. Should have taken it back to BB and gotten my money back!
