It works nice, I can set my phone on the charger and have it upright where I can see the screen. It works great, however the website said that a charging cable was included, but it was not. When I returned it, and associate took it, did the exchange, and a few minutes later said the website said that a cable was not included. No big deal, as I had a cable at home I could use, just wish the website was more clear on what was included.

Plugging the connection stinks, but that increases its stability on the stand. So good after all. I am glad I bought them. No more looking for a charging cord.

Purchased Tab A 8" with USB Micro connector which is still available through most retailers. I incorrectly assumed cradle contained adapters for both Type-C and Micro USB. No warnings on Samsung or Best Buy Websites. Samsung should have re-branded the newer tablet to minimize confusion or provided adapters in cradle for multi-generation compatibility.
