This product was so terribly hard to get working and to connect to my washing machine. I had to work for 2 days trying to constantly reconnect my washer to my Wi-Fi. It still says I'm not connected, but every once in a while when I run my washer it says cycle complete so I assume it's working now. That's why I gave it any stars at all

I am only giving it 3 stars due to the Samsung app. When it works, it's truly amazing. The most frustrating part is how often it disconnects ( my wifi router is in the next room, so it's not an issue of range). I have all Samsung appliances with wifi from the stove, TV's, etc... I spent over three hours on this issue and when I get it to work, the next day it's disconnected. Hopefully, they can fix this issue soon!

It's ok not great. Wish it did a lot more. Easy to install but doesn't always connect with my iPhone.

It could have been a lot better. Setup took some time figuring out. Smart controls have to be enabled everytime to use it meaningfully so that's a bummer. Also, electric usage is only viewable when smart controls are enabled while doing a load. Also, shared with my spouse but it asks to register device again - so go through whole setup - bummer. Shows machine as disconnected at all times except when running a load. Basically a glorified notification gadget for laundry being complete. Samsung should be giving these along with the machine for the feature set. Hopefully, future software updates make this more usable.

This is an "ok"product, lets you know when your load is done, but not much further functionality, besides troubleshooting. This should be something that should come with washer purchase, in my opinion.

Bought two of these adapters for my washer and dryer. Set up was easy but the app instructions are wrong. I had to look at the owners manual that came with my washer and dryer to figure out how to set it up. Set up took about 2 mins after that. Once set up, everything worked as expected. Was able to start my washer and dryer and see how many mins were left on each cycle, but after a few mins I opened the app to check on things, and it said my washer was disconnected. Then a few more mins later, it said my dryer was disconnected. Had to hold the smart control button down again and then I was able to see it connected. Then after 10 mins, it was disconnected again. I finally gave up and will be returning these things cause they are a total waste of money. They worked great when they work, but that’s hardly ever. I have a excellent WiFi signal in the room they are located, but they always disconnect from my WiFi.

This dongle installs easily but the it took AGES to set up and connect to my wifi. In the end I had to completely disable the 5ghz band on my router during the whole process. Now working well, although the app needs better functionality (scheduling etc)

Connects up easily. Seems to need to reconnect to the wifi each time the washer is turned on and this can take a bit. Seems like a stronger wifi connection would help, in my case it is just down the hall so should not be weak. Notifications from the washer are usefull when I am not near enough to hear it. Can remotely start the washer and set the cycle, but this has limited usefulness as you still need to put clothes in it. :) Overall it does what it says it should do.

This is working as advertised. Honestly, the only practical use it has - it just tell when cycle is done, so if you are outside your house you will know

The functionality gained by purchasing these is minimal and you must manually turn the feature on every time you turn on the washer or dryer. Save yourself the $50 and go out to a nice dinner.

NOTE: I would only buy this device if it is compatible with your washer / dryer. Most modern washers and dryers today will have connectivity built in, making this device obselete. This device works well and was very easy to setup to add Smartthings integration to my Samsung washer and dryer. Knocking off a star for having to purchase an expensive accessory to my washer/dryer for notification and status purposes.

You can do a few things with the app although setup has to be done for each phone and it is a pain. It helps a little if your washer/dryer is in the basement. Still needs work but ok for the price.

When I got this the instructions stated the dryer settings could change and all I can get the app to do is watch the time go down. Would be nice if this had more features.

I have an issue with hearing the cycle complete notifications due to the appliances being upstairs with living area downstairs and this is great to notify me when the cycles are complete. I have not used the other features of the products, i.e. starting the appliances with my app. Some difficulty with set-up but works.

With the washer on the 2nd floor, knowing where the washer is in the cycle would be handy. This device cost more than I'd like, and it apparently is not compatible with mesh router systems, like Eero and Google WiFi.

Not as veristile as expected. Could be the Samsung washer too. Way to expensive for what this is. No other choice though if you have a Samsung appliance. Only great feature is notifications when wash complete.

I wanted to be the first on to give this a positive review. Unfortunately, this device is exactly as the other reviews indicate. I ran into a minor glitch in set up but it was easily resolved. It connects to the internet fairly easily. In order for this device to work, you must press the Smart Control button. On the washer, it locks the door. I thought you would be able to see the status of you loads or get a message when complete. Only if you press the smart control button. if you don't the appliances are offline. So, if I load the washer with clothes, why would I want to take these extra steps to have my phone control this? It takes time for it to connect to the internet and this slows the process down. I don't think I will ever use it. As the previous reviews indicate, don;t waste your money on this device. Hopefully, Samsung will develop a firmware update to improve this. Samsung is better than this.

I don't like that you have to buy this separate....but what are you going to do.

this product is not easy to configure, the manual that come with need to be rewritten. after I manage to set it up, it's start working. at the beginning some time the connection is drop.

The installation has been a nightmare, and I am convinced you need a Smart Things hub. For the price of the Samsung washer and drier, these should have just been installed for use. I can connect to the washer and dryer with my phone, but I cannot get the washer or drier to then connect to my home WiFi. I'm not a technically challenged person, and have many smart home devices installed. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews...
