I purchased one for my washer and one for the dryer. Setup was easy but they basically just let me know when the cycle ends. Since the laundry is on the first floor, I can usually hear the cycle end tune.

I worked on it on and off for a week and never could get it to work with my IPhone. It was a total waist of money

Doesn't work at all with common internet connections. Wish I would have read the reviews online before wasting money.

These arePerfect for our smart home Set up. I love how they connect automatically to my hubby and send a notification to my phone when laundry is done.

It works across apple and android. Nice to know when load is done so it does not sit in washer and start smelling on hot day.

The adapter is a nice feature and worth the cost but I seriously think Samsung should have just included it with their washers and dryers.

Either the smart home app or this adapter does not work at all.

Purchased these for my new washer and dryer (xx45K6500xx series). Setup was pretty straight forward once I figured out that these adapters were not compatible with my new AC access points. I was unable to complete the setup until I connected the washer and dryer to the wifi on an older (non AC) router. Maybe I could have gotten them to work on the newer access points, but wasn't really worth the effort to me, since the adapter doesn't talk directly to your phone app, but instead uses Samsung as a middle tier. This means that your phone and washer/dryer do not necessarily need to be on the same WiFi network. You have to do the setup for each new phone. So if you have two phones, you will do the security setup on the washer twice and on the dryer twice. On to functionality...once you have everything setup and talking, if you want to control your washer or dryer from your phone, you have to power on, close the door, and press the Smart Control button on each appliance…which is so much better than setting your washer or dryer cycles while standing in front of them. Btw, once the load is done, and the washer or dryer powers off, you will have to repeat the steps, including manually turning the Smart Control back on. So what do you get if you don't use Smart Control? You can monitor the progress of your wash/dry load, and you will get notifications if something goes wrong or the load completes. Samsung gets to monitor the appliances and collect data on how you use your washer and dryer. I can see this being useful in a roommate situation, or perhaps your in-house staff should be kept apprised whilst they perform other chores, or your house is so large that you can’t hear the annoying 30 second completions tones, or you have $50 burning a hole pocket and you just like technology, or you must obsessively monitor the status of your washing/drying, or you want to make sure Samsung is in the loop on your laundry…well then, these adapters might be just the ticket. For me they are a bit like adding a 5th tine to a fork…sure you can…but why?

Well worth buying for samsung washer and dryer. Would purchase again in heartbeat.
