This is the second set I purchase. I have this already setup in my room and now have purchased these to add to my second Samsung sound bar in my office. Love them, they aren’t overpoweringly loud and perfect for a room. Highly recommend.

I really like these speakers in addition to the sound bar we purchased! They were a little difficult to setup, but one phone call with Samsung, and we were in business. The speakers are not as powerful as I would like, but it’s ideal for adding more sound in the room.

I got the wireless rear loudspeakers to go with my Samsung “8000” Tv and my Samsung 3.1 channel with wireless subwoofer. It was very easy to pare the rear loudspeakers with the Samsung sound bar. I did have to talk to the Samsung specialist to adjust the sound level to a higher level.

Today's surround sound is NOT was it was say 10 years ago. About 2010 there were DVD with apps that offer surround sound, 5 channels & when you watch a movie they sounded well, sound loud and it was a good experience. Today I no longer have that type of set up so I find myself buying these set up (I also bought the 3.1 soundbar with woofer) and am just OK with them.

      Nomar:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Wireless SWA-8500S Rear Wireless Speaker Kit. I am sorry to hear that you did not experience the full potential of the surround sound system.

By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.

However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:

      1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
      2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
      3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
      4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment.

    Beware of this purchase

Beware. Even cranked up as high as possible and sitting right next to them, it's difficult to hear sound from these speakers. Also, the sound keeps cutting out -- even though the unit is connected to my soundbar. Sound comes back eventually, except 5 days ago when it cut out and hasn't come back on. Spent nearly an hour with Samsung support trying all the things I tried on my own. FYI: Internet has many reports of this problem: Sound cuts out even though unit is connected via Bluetooth to soundbar. So, Samsung is sending someone to pick up these $70 speakers and try to repair them. If Samsung decides there's nothing wrong with them, I have to pay a fee. Bet it would be a lot cheaper to just send me new $70 speakers under their warranty. Beware.

The speakers are great, had to reinstall since the cables got chewed up by cat before I had a chance to put up cable cover strips...so easy to install and link to sound bar. Note that cable cover strips are necessary if you have pets that like to chew on wires!!!

You do need to make sure the model you want to pair this with actually supports it, but if it does then it sounds great with no delay and weird issues. bought open box for a steal alongside a samsung 2.1 soundbar setup (model HW-M360/ZA)
