I am not a sound connoisseur by any stretch, but these little guys really enhance the netflix and chill experience. They were easy to hook up, just plug and play. Just remember to set the volume through the sound bar and you are good to go.

Looking to help fill the room with the soundbar. My use was a third floor office space, and the soundbar alone was not adequate, however with the wireless speakers used as a rear surround the sound now fills the space. VERY IMPORTANT, you have to go through the menu to increase the volume of the rear speakers. If you don't the sound will be very low, works well with music and movies.

I picked these up to go with the Samsung sound bar & was hoping for a little more background noise. They are decent speakers but are not very loud. Even at max volume depending upon what you’re watching it is very hard to catch the background noise to certain things. Not overly excited about the product but don’t dislike them either.

      Anthony:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Wireless SWA-8500S Rear Wireless Speaker Kit. I am sorry to hear that you did not experience the full potential of the surround sound system.

By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.

However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:

      1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
      2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
      3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
      4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment.

    Definite Improvement over Soundbar Alone

If you're looking for a decent option to add true surround to a soundbar, these work quite well. Out of the box, there are some setting you have to be aware of on the Soundbar itself in order to increase the rear speaker volume. Spent a few extra minutes on setup wondering why no sound was coming through after the "pairing" was successful. Overall happy with the purchase, just not "audiophile" level quality.

Paired it with my sound bar in my bedroom to make it 5.1 surround sound and it works great. remember it’s for background surround sound, like a plane passing by, birds in the background people talking in the background etc...

Has a good sound quality and makes our system upgrade from a sound bar to surround sound. The actual speakers are not wireless though - they require speaker cables to a box which wirelessly connects to the main system. Bought a wall mount for them thinking there were no cables - disappointed. Not ideal for our living room setup. But for the price I should have known.

      Nate:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung SWA-8500S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. I am very sorry for any confusion about the wireless description.

Most consumers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers). The SWA-8500S Kit eliminates that hassle. Connect the SWA-8500S rear speakers to its wireless module and place these three in the back of your room. One wire is required to connect each rear speaker to the wireless module. Then plug in the power cable to the module. The “wireless” convenience is in connecting your soundbar and any other speakers at the front of the room to the rear speakers – this can now be done via Wi-Fi through the wireless module, eliminating any clutter of long wires running the length of your room.

These speakers are really small and don't get very loud but in the right circumstances it really does add to the experience. I have it setup in my bedroom and the TV and soundbar are centered at the end of my bed. These speakers are at the head of the bed on either side on the night stands. They do a nice job of complimenting the soundbar. If you can get them bundled with your TV and soundbar the price is nice.

I love these speakers. It made life so much easier not having to run wires all the way around the room, just hook up power and speaker wires and go. Can set them in the back and let them be very inconspicuous. Bluetooth all the things.
