Samsung Satellite Speakers
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these speakers as an open box item, so they were a bit cheaper than normal. They still had the plastic within the packaging, so they were like new. I have had them for over a year now, and they do exactly what they are supposed to. The speakers were easy to set up and provide enough sound for a surround sound experience.

Nice stereo sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These paired easily with the soundbar. The only setup issue was finding the right depth to insert the wires. However, once I got that right they worked great. Gives nice stereo sound to tv and movies.

Nice!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tested out the Samsung sound bar 2.1 without these and I’m glad I bought these to pair up. Makes a big difference when you’re watching movies especially hearing the dialogue during loud action scenes.

SWA8500-S Pkg is a Surprisingly Great Add-on
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.(For me) the SWA8500-S Pkg is A Big sound difference for TV voices + DVD sound effects! Posting Just to caution that my Rear Spkr Receiver pairing with my new HW-T650ZA Sound Bar didn't occur UNTIL I used a ball-point pen to press the ID SET hole on the Rear of the Recvr. Doing so made the required Flashing Blue Light on the Recvr front Blink continuously Rather Than (per box manual setup ) going to Red Standby after 7-10 seconds. With the TV On and Sound Bar OFF I pressed the Vol Btn DOWN until I saw ID SET in Sound Bar display. With Rear-Spkr Recvr flashing blue light on I Turned on the Sound Bar and the Blue Light turned to Solid. Samsung Setup instructions are all over the place per what date and equipment you're using. It may require experimenting / web Searches if the ID SET doesn't first go as planned. My Blu-Ray DVD didn't sound as good UNTIL I thought to hit the Audio Btn on DVD Remote and Select English 5.1 xxx/xxx. Sound Bar is via Optical connect and Surround Sound is selected in SB Sound setup. Net sounds Vary per DVD (only 1/3 DVDs I've watched is made with 5.1 Sound capability) and TV channel you're watching. Overall, So Glad I bought the Sound bar and more surprisingly, the Rear Spkr pkg!! Sound Bar a 50% improvement over TV BUT With Rear Spkrs, a 150% improvement.

Alternative to running wires
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No volume control. Rear speakers running through an amp are far superior because you can adjust volume, balance and sound quality but these are ok if you can't or don't want to run wires. Keep in mind the two speakers are wired to a receiver but the receiver is wireless and not wired to the sound bar, tv, or amplifier

Great 5.1 Sound When Paired With The 3.1 Soundbar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great compliment to the Samsung HW-M550/ZA. It adds the accents to give that front-to-back sound effects. I knocked off 1 star only due to the instructions. I spent about 20 minutes trying to sync up the wireless receiver. Instruction said to power off the soundbar and hold the volume button for 5-6 seconds. That did not work. What worked for me holding the woofer button for 5-6 seconds.

Great surround sound for little money
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The system paired easily. There is a way to adjust the volume that isn’t defined in the manual. Look online to find. It’s good to have surround sound in our family room without having to run rear speaker wires. I have a 7.1 channel surround system in our theater which sounds great. This system doesn’t have the same level of power but does fill in where before there was no rear channel sound before.

Samsung - Wireless Rear Loudspeakers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung - Wireless Rear Loudspeakers - works with select Samsung soundbars (Pair) - Black. Set up a seamless home entertainment system with this Samsung wireless rear speaker kit. Easy to incorporate with your soundbar, the units mount to your wall and connect wireless to eliminate unsightly tangles of wire. Low standby power consumption and a slim design make this Samsung wireless rear speaker kit an ideal solution for smaller spaces. Really enjoy the sound.

suitable speakers (with one caution)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As noted by others, these speakers produce little sound at normal listening level. A contact with Samsung revealed that there is not a way to independently control the volume of these speakers. I have found, however, that if the attached sound bar is 'cranked up' some, these speakers do provide (for me) a pleasing and balanced surround sound effect. So for music or movies, turn up the surround sound volume level and they should work to your satisfaction. $600-$1000 sound....no. But for those who want to preserve their hearing into old age, these speakers should meet their needs. My rating of 4 stars is due to the fact that, for many, independent volume control for these speakers would be desirable.

Ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are ok. There needs to be a way to turn up the volume. It is not true surround as the voices and all sound is played through the rear speakers, but the front is louder, so voices are still mainly heard from the tv area. I got these pretty cheap on an open box. If I had paid full price I would return them.

Good addition to the sound bar
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have read many reviews that say these speakers are not loud enough and have even seen on YouTube where individuals will add amplifiers to the speakers. The speakers are plenty loud even when not going to maximum level. The rear speakers add a dimension to the TV sound to make it more "theater" like. It is very easy to set up except for setting volume - I'm surprised that Samsung didn't even add volume adjustment instructions in their manual that comes in the box. You can search the internet and find instructions that help.

Great speakers for the price!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These little speakers are an amazing addition to my Samsung soundbar and sub. It definitely helps when the audio is quiet and you can't hear voices well. It was almost effortless to pair. I just had to follow the simple directions and hook up the speakers and I was finished in about 5 to 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend as a must have for full surround sound.

Rear speakers are subtle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound is coming out of speakers but it is soft. Unable to adjust volume balance between front and rears. Wireless so don’t have to run cable from sound bar, but do need wires from wireless module to rear speakers. Got $30 discount on these by buying the compatible sound bar with it. (Samsung M550)

Posted .Islander1962,
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Wireless Rear Loud Speakers. I am sorry to hear that you did not experience the full potential of the surround sound system.
Please know that by design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1. Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE.
3. Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode.
4. Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control.
I hope these tips help to solve your issues. For further assistance, please contact our Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG and a representative will gladly help you.

Nice system
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A gift for my husband. Sound is great. Easy set up. Just noticed a slight voice delay. I will have to investigate a solution, as I didn’t notice the problem when we did the setup.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love the sound experience we get from the speakers paired with the sound bar, however I wish there was a system that offered wireless speakers, and would like the output from the speakers a bit louder. Overall pretty happy.
