    I’m a huge Samurai Shodown fan from back to the Neo Geo titles and I really love this game. I owned this on PS4 and Switch and hadn’t planned on getting the Xbox version but since they did a re-release with extras and the Xbox Series X enhancements I went ahead and picked this up. Unfortunately there are some issues with this specific release. First off, there doesn’t seem to be any extra content on the disc itself. After inserting the disc you’re greeted by a ~27gb update. So you’ve essentially got the orginal release disc with new artwork. Second the extra content is provided by download codes. Trying to enter these download codes on the day of release proved to be a headache. The Cham Cham code appeared to work fine, but after successfully entering it on my account, the character was not unlocked in the game. The season one pass code does not work at all as of this review. It just gives me an invalid code message. SNK support does not seem to be able to do anything about that either. Essentially with this release I ended up with what is the original version with updated artwork. Bummer. Since I’m a fan of the game I can’t bring myself to give this a single star, just beware of the issues above if you’re considering this version. You’re probably better off buying the original release for less than half price and buying the DLC items separately.

    Great but not overly complicated complex fighting game. Footies and timing takes you back to arcade days. Hope more games are made this way. Can just pick up and play with long string of combination to remember.

    Happy this enhanced edition came out on the series x. It's takes full advantage of the console with 4k and can run at 120 fps if your Tv supports it. Awesome fighting game.

    The graphics are great but the game itself still needs to work on better controls. I hope that it will get updated in the future updates.
