With a new art style and a more story focused entry; this 5th entry in a way is a reboot. Combat is familiar but tweaked to keep the combo counter going. The roster is slimmer compared to 4 & 4II. But there still plenty of characters to choose from. It can feel a bit more of a grind to level characters with the introduction of “Citadel Mode”.

The Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warrior games are my favorite franchise of video games, they are always lots of fun with lots to do, unfortunately this one doesn't have very many characters there are only 27, the game works great, it never slows down regardless of how many enemies are on screen, I only have 2 things to point out that don't affect gameplay but do cause problems for the player, the first one is the game is only in japanese so you can't understand what the characters are saying, they sometimes say things that are important to the current battle and you don't catch it because you are paying attention to the enemies you are fighting, the second thing is Sony's FAULT, this is a constant problem that I am having with newer games, the system buzzes so loudly when playing games that you can't hear the game, I hope Sony has fixed that problem with the Playstation 5, but that is when they get off their lazy butts and produce more systems and sell them IN STORES, I highly recommend this game, especially if you enjoy Samurai and Dynasty Warriors games.

If you have played any of the Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors game from the PS2 era and beyond, you know what to expect. It is a 3D brawler that involve a large number of characters to be defeated to move to the next area. Some stories are told better than other depending on the entry. More of the same, but no necessarily a bad thing if you want to play this type of game in your PS4/PS5.

Best Buy has done it again, they reduced the price of this beautiful action game and I can't stop playing it. Best Buy continues to offer great selections at a great price.

You know what you're buying with this, a Musou game but with more style above others, it's really entertaining, recommended!

The graphical overhaul is really good for the series!

It is a great action game. Story may be boring, but actions are amazing.

I love the new revamp, I'm hope for a sequel or addition DLC to cover things that are missing, but they are missing for a good reason

A good game like dynasty warriors different weapons

If you're a fan of the warriors-games, this is a must-buy, no question. The new art style is amazing and I hope the developer will continue with this new direction.
