Sure, this isn’t the fastest card out there. But Nintendo recommends a card with Transfer speeds of 60 - 95 MB/sec and this card easily fits the bill. It claims speeds of up to 100 MB/sec. It was very easy to install in my switch. If you don’t already have a card in your switch, you just lift up the kickstand on the back of the switch and slide it right in the slot. If you already had a card, like I did, you have to remove the old card first. Then you need to take it to a computer and copy the contents of that card to your computer, then copy that to your new card. On mine there was just a folder called Nintendo. So I just copied that to my desktop and then to the new card. After its transferred you can put the new card in your switch and power it on. I didn’t have any problems with missing data, but they say you might have to re-download some games onto the new card. I played a few games like Fortnite, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Jackbox and a few others and didn’t notice any problems with the card. Load times were just as fast, if not faster than my old card. This is a great addition to any Switch and will greatly increase your memory allowing you to store lots and lots more games! Plus, if you do play Fortnite there is a code to download the Angular Flow Wrap included with the card! I highly recommend it to any switch owners (even if you don’t play Fortnite)

Quality Micro SD Card from SanDisk

The SanDisk - Fortnite Edition 256GB microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card is a great storage option if you are looking to expand your gaming library on your Nintendo Switch. You get the fun Fortnite branding on the card, and the capability of storing many more games on your Switch or other device that accepts a micro SD card. This SD card meets the required specifications for read and write speeds for you Nintendo Switch so you shouldn't run into any compatibility issues using this particular memory card. To help put the storage capabilities into perspective, Zelda: Breath of the wild is about 13.5 gigabytes. So, you would be able to store almost 19 copies of Zelda: Breath of the wild on one 256 gigabyte micro SD card. While 256 gigabytes isn't the largest SD card out there by any means, it should provide plenty of storage for your gaming library. I personally don't keep games on my device or SD cards if I haven't played them in a while. I also don't have an issue with re-downloading and installing games as I want to play them. So for my needs, the 256 gigabyte card is perfect and it should suit most gamers just fine. You can't go wrong with SanDisk when it comes to storage options for your device. I highly recommend this SD card!

Officially licensed microSD card for your Switch

Everyone can use more digital storage on the Nintendo switch, thanks to the fact that Nintendo did not endow them with very much space to begin with. I have the OLED version with 64GB and that is not near enough for the games that I have. I acquired the SanDisk 256GB Fortnite MicroSDXC card. I have Fortnite installed on the card and when I purchased this microSD card, it has a code for an Angular Flow Wrap to use in game. This card is rated for speeds up to 100 MB/s read and writing speed of up to 90 MB/s. My Nintendo OLED switch has not had any issues with speed that I can tell, and everything runs smooth as it does on the internal memory. I was running out of space on my 128GB card, and I did search online on how to safely transfer my data so I would recommend doing that so you don’t lose data, but if you are putting this in a new switch, then obviously you would not have to worry about transferring data. I have a laptop that has a built in microSD card reader so I didn’t have to use a full-sized SD card adapter and SanDisk does not include one of those so you may have to find one to transfer data. This is a good option if you are looking for an officially license microSD card to use in your switch.

Well so far, so good with this little card. My daughter has been a Fortnite crazy person for months now and the fact that this card came in pink, with so much more storage for her 32gb Switch was a win win. She was able to install and expand her storage within minutes. I have used SanDisk memory cards for my Canon Rebel camera and even in cell phones that I’ve had in the past so I was excited to see this as an option for her Switch. With having 256gb in space she has already downloaded 3 additional digital games and still has over 165gb of storage! Upon opening the card we noticed there was a redeemable code for the angular flow wrap which looked really neat when she applied it to one of her weapons. I feel like for the price of the card, you’re definitely getting your moneys worth with getting not only the storage and speed of the card but also the Fortnite content to add as well. Overall, if you need additional storage, which if you own a 32gb Switch this is a must have for sure, if you have a desire to download additional digital content without the worry of having to delete other stuff, then this is your choice. It’s perfect!

Lots of space for my switch games

I needed more space on my switch as over the last couple of years I have been buying some games here and there and my son is now at the age where he wants to start playing some games. At first we tried downloading only one at a time and have him playing just that game and then delete and play others but since he likes to play a little bit here and there it made difficult. So here is where this sandisk card come in. Bumping up my storage so all of my games can be on the switch and my son can play them at any time. We have about 10 games on the system right now and still have plenty of space we will probably be adding more dice we have so much extra space for more games. Everything loads just as fast as it would running off the internal memory and it’s very easy to start using the memory on the switch pretty much all i had to do was install the memory card in the switch. If you need more space on your switch I definitely recommend a card like this having access to all of your games that quickly and easily is great no more deleting downloading and waiting for the install just grab and play.

This micro SD card has been great. The SanDisk 256GB micro SD card licensed for Nintendo Switch, Fortnite edition, has stayed in my switch for about a week now. Using this helped me expand the small space that comes in the switch originally. Installation is typical. You just insert it into the micro SD card slot in your switch, and go from there. You can have it formatted for the additional space from within the switch's interface. I was able to install games on it without any issues. The graphics on the card is a plus as well. My youngest child loved seeing it when they received it for their device that I used to be sure it worked! I have not rean into any speed issues. Going from the main menus, from playing the games there has not been any hiccups. I believe that you could use this micro SD card in other devices as well. I have not tried it yet, but I am sure that other tablets and phones could benefit from theis micro SD card. All in all, it is a great choice if you have a Nintendo Switch device that needs some extra storage.

SanDisk 256GB microSD card is a good memory card with basic speeds for the Nintendo Switch. This memory card gives 256 GB of space on Nintendo Switch so you can place tons of great games on the device. I like these memory cards because they are cheap and affordable ways to bump up storage on your Nintendo switch device. they are easy to place in a pocket so you can bring multiple SD cards with you for your Switch. I was able to download my favorite games like Fortnite, Demon Slayer, Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers, Splatoon 3, and Animal Crossing all on one memory card. Not else much to say here that you will be satisfied with adding extra storage and games. 32GB surely isn't enough for any switch owner so buying one of these is a must. The “Cuddle Team Leader” face is on the SD card itself instead of a Mushroom or Star from Nintendo theme games. Comes with a bonus code for Fortnite to use with your in-game character so you get a little extra with this SD card. This is a plus for anyone who is getting one of these for Fortnite content.

This SanDisk memory card came in handy when I noticed that I seemed to be running out of space on my Nintendo Switch. The internal storage for the Nintendo Switch is 32 GB which holds about 4-5 digital games. However,,256GB provides a sufficient amount of space to accommodate a healthy list of digital games depending the size. SanDisk is known for memory storage so this product doesn't differ much from Micro SD Cards within their lineup. But this a good thing. From experience, the read/write speeds are fast enough meet the demands of the Nintendo Switch. Fortunately, the console is 5 year old product so it doesn't require much by today's standards. However, for Fortnite players like myself, there is a download code which a plus when purchasing this product. Outside of performance, the design of the product is unique and sure to appeal to some fans. It's a memory card so there aren't many bells and whistles that can be found. In conclusion, I consider this product to be a serviceable memory card to all Switch related needs.

Super easy choice if you're in the market for an SD card. I wanted to expand the storage of my switch and this did the trick. I normally buy digital games for convenance, and this fit the bill. I currently have 20 games on there and there is room to spare. Additionally, there is no bottleneck from what I can tell when playing games from the SD card. and like all SanDisc products I have purchased in the past, I'll assume this thing will last a long time. The pink color is a little off from the black back of my console, but the perks of this package made sense. I'd like to point out that it is important that you follow the cutting instructions to open this package. I opened it and to my dismay, I cut the in game code into a few pieces by not following the cutting lines on the back of the package. I also enjoyed the ease of redemption once I had that code re-put together. I'd encourage anyone that is a Fortnite fan or is buying it as a gift for someone that is, as it is a great brand and offers a unique skin/wrap.

Card is nice was quick to transfer the old data to this card and it reads off of it quick. I had a 128 card that was filling up gkad the switch games are not huge like other consoles. My kids like the free dlc for fortnite they think it is cool along with tbe fortnite theme on the card itself. My kid wanted the teddy bear skin that was shown on the package but is fine with what is available. The card does exactly what it is meant to do holding data for the switch. There is not much more to say about the card but it us worth it if you beeded a card with the purchase of a new switch i would recommend the card. If you have a ton of games then i would look for a larger capacity card but we dont have much games and still use cartridges mostly. Instead of purchasing the digital games.. it is nice though switching between games easily without having to swap out the cards. The card is A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If i get another switch i will most definitely get this card again

This 256GB Sandisk microSD is an official Fortnite microSD. If you play Fortnite, you will recognize the Cuddle Team Leader on the packaging and even on the microSD itself. For me, this was a worthy upgrade from the 64GB microSD I have in my non-OLED switch and U3 speeds are a noticeable pick up, plus 256GB of storage is plenty of space for Fortnite (~16GB on the switch) and I any other downloadable games or DLC's you may want. In fact, I would say 256GB is more than enough for 2-3 years for the average Switch gamer. The microSD was plug and play out of the box on my Switch, no need to format, etc. I have a Nintendo Online subscription, so I just re-downloaded my games and restored backup from the cloud. The bonus Fortnite Angular Flow wrap is easy to redeem (printed code included) and lets you skin Fortnite weapons, etc. If you're a bit anxious on unboxing and maybe damaging the code (I was) make sure you cut open the packaging where Sandisk marks (near the top) and you can slide out the microSD and the redemption code. Do not cut through the middle of the packaging. Final tip, my code said it was valid until 2026, I mean I redeemed it same day, but if you're buying this as a gift or a few months after launch, you don't need to worry that the code may be about to expire. Definitely recommended. And if you haven't played Fortnite yet on the Switch, you should - so much fun!

It's not required that you have memory for your Nintendo switch, but you can do it in style. I haven't had a chance to fully push the potential of this 256 gigs, but it can save quite a few games and expand my playing experience. So far I have downloaded 10 DLCs for three different games. Two whole other games and I still have space and memory to save and download. I'm pretty sure memory cards come in 512 gigabytes per second as well, but the theme is just that a theme. It doesn't include the game or any special DLCs or anything like that. It's sold by ScanDisk for Nintendo so it's not anything special. The Nintendo switch is expanded. Memory drive is made for cards like this, so it's a happy marriage and a great convenience. ScanDisk for as long as I can remember has always had pretty decent product, this is another in a long line of dedicated products. I like that it's not made by Nintendo for Nintendo. Leave it in the hands of professionals people who've made this kind of product for years. I highly recommend this product for your Nintendo switch memory needs.

    A convenient way to play

When it comes to digital or physical games I choose digital - usually. The convenience of having all your games with you and being stored on your gaming unit is the way to go for me. I don't mind investing my money into a large microSD to hold all my games and ruling out game cartridges is great especially when traveling. More and more games these days however are getting colossal in size and the ability to digitally carry large games is getting less practical. So, instead of increasing my microSD storage in my Switch, now I am a hybrid digital gamer which means I will carry the big games (like Fortnight) on this Sandisk microSD card and keep my smaller in size games (the vast majority) of my games on my primary microSD that I have been using. Why not save your precious Switch storage and use this preloaded microSD card when you want to play Fortnite. The build quality of this card is... well, it is a Sandisk, one of the most dependable brands out there in my opinion, so I expect quality and years of use from this.

This is just a typical 256GB micro-SD card made by San Disk that would work in more than your Nintendo Switch. So, if you are worried it will just work with your Nintendo Switch, you'll be fine to use this elsewhere if you need to long past the switch's lifetime. The micro-SD card isn't as fast as cards from Samsung, or San disk that isn't branded for the Nintendo Switch but to be honest it's fine because for the Switch you wouldn't be able to utilize those speeds Anway's just be aware if you ever want to use it elsewhere in the future like a camera or etc. The 256GB capacity is good if you want to download more than a few titles or games that require a Micro SD card like a lot of titles I have. I would suggest you to buy a bigger size like 512GB or even higher like 1TB if you're planning on downloading every game you buy because while you can change Micro SD cards you have to reboot your system every time and carry multiple cards with you. I personally rather buy one card versus holding multiple cards.

I picked this up the other day to upgrade my switch from 128gb to 256gb. I have my memory about 3/4 full, so i thought i'd be proactive. I have many downloaded games and I was feeling it was time to upgrade. One of the nice perks of this was a download code for an in-game perk of angular flow wrap in Fortnite, code is one good per account. I plugged this into my switch and away I went, no issues. They make fortnite memory in 128gb and 256gb, and like I mentioned, I wanted an upgrade in size. I have an animal crossing editon of the switch, so nothing special with the unit I have, snd i'm sure it work well for a switch oled. This is bright pink, sl doesnt match, but doesn't matter being stuck where no one can see. I didn't get the animal crossing memory because it was 512gb and much more cost. This hits a nice increase and as long as it took me to fill my 128gb to 3/4 full, this will take a while. Overall, no issues worked well, no lag or change in game play. I reccomend this product.
