I prefer a light weight MP3 like this one. About the size and thickness of a pen cap, very compact. The clip on the back seems pretty durable. I accidently left the music on over night, Battery life on full charge seemed right around the 18hr range. Small usb cord is included, Standard size, not a big deal if you have a few extra cords laying around. I recommend to buy a good pair of ear buds with this. The right side of mine gave out within the first few minutes. I checked with a coworkers ear buds to make sure it wasnt the player itself. Volume can get pretty loud, I heard it from across the room in my coat, only 1 ear bud was working. You can add tracks to (3) different playlist without a computer using the screen on the player. As well as delete tracks from the Player itself. Make sure to check out the settings, change volume type, time, date, sleep timer, etc. Nice to personalize if you use Player alot. 4 stars for headphones not lasting right outside of the box. Ive been using SanDisk for about 10 years while working long shifts. This is a easier model to work with and more navigational than previous ones models. Significant decrease in lag time when looking through settings and changing screens. Definitely worth the bucks. I plan on buying a few extra as they are getting hard to find.

It’s easy to use, easy to charge. Lightweight enough to tuck into your pocket. My old IPod finally died and this is a good replace to listen to the radio while working out. Great price point.

This is a tiny device, reminiscent of the now discontinued iPod Nano. I really miss that perfect device, which was great for work outs. The use case for this device is workouts. This is a very basic and focused device. The output quality is good, and unless your using every high quality headset I doubt you will hear too much difference when compared to other devices like this. Loading music to the device was as easy as plugging it into your computer (a Mac in my case) and drag-drop. It has lasted a week so far with 2hrs of use a day. This is a great device in its category, that is a great for workouts.

I miss my old clip but this new clip jam fits the bill perfectly. Tons of storage and weighs almost nothing yet has surprisingly decent sound and solid battery life.

I love my player, though I've been unable to find new ones. It's a great way to conserve phone battery power by playing media on a standalone device. I've gotten several for hospitalized friends and loaded them with media. But recently the only portable media players I could find cost quite a bit more than this one. I use mine daily on my walks, and already dread the day it gives up the ghost. The clip part broke, but even that wasn't enough to sour me on the device!

I use it for podcasts and it remembers where you were when in the middle of a recording so you can pick right off where you left off. It does this for every episode so you never lose your place. The battery life seems to be ridiculously long - it ticks down one bar even after hours of listening. It's hard to find a stand-alone mp3 player and I wanted to use this while mowing, etc. - activities where I didn't want to risk damaging my phone and this one is tiny and inexpensive. The clip on it works well - just put it on anywhere and it stays put - even when weed-eating :-)

Sandisk Sansa Jam mp3 player is awesome!

I have several of these players. They are plastic, and not made as well as previous older models, but serve my needs well. The battery life is fantastic! I have these in pink, blue, green, orange and black. Those that complain it is not bluetooth, must not be reading the specs. Sandisk, however, does make a bluetooth model. I put all my music on micro cards and, as many have attested, holds more songs than you probably need in a workout session. I also hook the player up to Bose speakers and listen to it at home. You can listen to albums, or go to the artist, or songs. I usually use shuffle on mine and do this with artist and albums. Overall, I would highly recommend for the price! Very happy with this player!

As streaming music becomes more popular, it's sometimes easy to forget about the likes of Mp3 players. This SanDisk is perfect for those who dont want to stream from their phone. It's basic (no Bluetooth), holds a decent amount of music (with room for expansion via micro SD card), and very easy to use. The headphones put out decent sound and the size of the Clip Jam makes transporting and using a cinch. The clip is part of unit itself so ideal for jogging or the gym. A definite (and inexpensive) recommendation for those looking to listen to music on the go.

I had a much more expensive Apple Ipod Nano which recently crapped out. The volume buttons jammed and it's out of warranty. This SanDisk is well equipped with enough storage and features to satisfy my needs. I only use this at the gym. The sound is good. I use the shuffle feature when I do use it. The battery holds a charge for a very long time. Overall very happy with the SanDisk.

This is a great small, lightweight mp3 player that is great for working out and general listening. Lots of battery life and with the option of using an micro SD, you have as much storage as you want. My only beef is that it is a bit difficult to find albums as opposed to some other mp3 players, but for the price, you really can't beat this unit.

This is my second of this particular MP3 player. It didn't break or anything, I just got sick of my husband always borrowing my MP3 player because his was giving him problems. I charge this about once every week depending on how much I used it. Clip works well and is lightweight, doesn't get in the way while cleaning and such. Storage capacity is very good, I still haven't managed to fill the first one I bought and I think I've had it for almost 2 years.

I bought this sandisk clip jam to replace a sandisk sansa player. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the price had not increased. However, they are several inconvenient features on this replacement. The screen is much smaller on the clip jam. I have several cds that have a similar . With the sansa I could easily distinguish between them. With the clip jam the screen is so small as to make the distinction between similar cds impossible. The on/off button the sans was conveniently located on the top of the player. On the clip jam the off/on button is inconveniently located in the center of the player. I have to fumble around to find it when riding my bike and listening to the mp3 player. Initially I used the ear buds from my sansa player which were working well . They worked intermittently with the clip jam. This problem went away when I switched to the ear buds that came with the clip jam. I don't know if this problem will return if I ever have to replace the ear buds. Lastly, the clipjam doesn't seem to have as much volume as the sansa. I don't have any experience with other mp3 players so I don't know if there is a competitive model which I might recommend.

I have had a sandisk Clio for the past decade and never had an issue with it. I used it primarily for running and working out when I didn’t want to carry my phone. Light, easy to use and great sound. My 10 year old daughter wanted a music player and doesn’t have a phone yet. She loves punk so this was perfect. Again easy to use, portable and long battery life. She loves it!

SanDisk seems to have taken 3 steps backward with this model. The best MP3 player ever was the Clip+, which I had for 7 years; however, since this is the closet one I have been able to find I figured I'd give it a try. The display is adequate in doors but just terrible outside on a sunny day. 8gb of memory holds plenty of songs, podcasts audio books. I also loaded up a 32gb micro SD card with tons of music. One thing I noticed is 2000 songs is the max the system will recognize in the Music folder - I put 3000 but only 2000 are identified when playing by artist in shuffle mode. The reason for 4 Stars is because you CANNOT just hit Shuffle and play every song from both the internal and external storage. They are separate and you need to pick from which you want to play. I bought the Blue model and am using the silicone skin from my Clip+ as the cover even though the buttons are not quite in the same place. It works for my purpose. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and just hope it lasts as long as the previous MP3 from SanDisk.
