I enjoy that it is easy to learn how to use. It holds many songs. It is expandavle by using an extra memory card. I like the options of how it equalizes the music. I like the additional FM radio option. I really enjoy that most of the time it displays the Artist and song that is playing on the radio. I like the clip feature for easy securing to your shirt, coat or belt. I like that it starts up quickly. I like the small easy to carry size. I like the easy to find and use volume control. I REALLY enjoy the price for the value you get!!

I bought this for audiobooks. I didn't want to shell out a bunch of money to get an iPod touch just for audiobooks and my phone doesn't have a lot of space on my phone for all the audiobooks I have. So I wanted something that I could carry around with me that wasn't to big so I could listen to my audiobooks. I saw this on the best buy website and did some searching to see if audiobooks would work on it because I didn't want to buy it find out audiobooks didn't work on it and have to return it and find something else. Well I found out that audiobooks work fine on it. I was debating between this and the Bluetooth version. I went with this one because it was able to expandable storage whereas the Bluetooth version didn't have that capability. I would've liked to be able to use Bluetooth headphones but I prefer having the ability to swap out sd cards with multiple books so that I don't use up the entire amount of storage on the device. I don't know how it works with music or radio since I haven't used it for that purpose but definitely recommend for audiobooks.

It is almost impossible to find an inexpensive mp3 player anymore, at a time where streaming services are king. This Sandisk has surpisingly good sound production in a very small and light package. The FM radio feature is easy to use and the microSD card slot enhances the storage capacity. There are no frills here, such as bluetooth. But this player is perfect for those hiking, running, or relaxing at the beach, and looking for something inexpensive and possibly expendable if damaged by water, accidents, or theft. It is a great value.

The SanDisk Clip Jam MP3 player has been a mainstay of my walks & yardwork for years. I use the 8GB for books, podcasts & my favorite music while the added SD card storage houses my larger music library. I have also successfully used a larger SD card capacity than the device is listed to handle. At this time I have a 64GB card in the device. Battery life is very good. I usually use the player for 1 up to 3 hour increments. Then I recharge the device after use. The device menus are intuitive & easy to use. Locating desired audio, etc. is simple & easy to do on-the-fly. (see note at end regarding battery life) For some of my audio books, the speed change from normal to fast is very handy (there is also a slow speed). Connectivity to the computer is simple & adding or removing files is simple. While there is not a Blue Tooth option. I don't mind using corded earphones as I use different types of earphones depending on my activity (mowing the yard vs a neighborhood walk where I may want to hear some surrounding sounds- cars, etc). Occasionally, I have had the clip break especially if I clip the device to thicker shorts. So, I now just keep the device in my pocket. Over the last 10 years or so, I have used SanDisk Clip Jams. Each one has worked properly (with very regular use) for 3 to 5 years. The limiting factor (after years & years of reliable play) is the battery. At some point the battery fails & is unable to hold a charge (but that has been after years & years of use). Overall, the SanDisk Clip Jam is well for the value for functionality, durability, & features.

I bought this to replace an older MP3 player that I bought at Best Buy many years ago that only held one gb, and was full. This one has 8 times the capacity, and is expandable with a micro sd card if ever needed. It sounds great and is easy to use, and compact. Clips to a shirt pocket. Comes with ear buds or use your own.

Some people would say, why but a music player when most cell phones have a decent sound system. Well. battery use, size, and freeing up the phone for other uses can be good reasons. The Sandisk Clip jam is a small (2 inches x 1.5 inches) player that has a variety of features that many people can find useful. It has 8 GB internal storage much more than most people need as well as an expansion slot for a card to add extra storage. It has a small screen to look at what you are listening to, scroll to a new song or even add favorites, You may connect it to your computer and download a variety of formats directly to the device. The clip on the back makes it nice for joggers on the run. It does not have blue tooth capability which is somewhat disappointing for this price point, but not a deal breaker. Instructions that come with the unit are very limited but Youtube will help. Buttons are basically on a rocker switch except the main on/off and are fairly easy to use. I would recommend this as a affordable travel music player.

Works great. convenient to use, stores plenty of songs. Battery lasts longer. Like the various color choices available. Has inbuilt radio option if looking to listen to radio.

Small, simple to use & the sound quality is excellent. Very easy file transfer with USB & micro SD card slot allows for as much storage space as needed. Only negative is the device doesn't seem to be able to combine the device storage & SD card storage together for random play. The device doesn't have internet connectivity which should not be expected for the price. Overall very satisfied & would recommend.

This is a tiny device, reminiscent of the now discontinued iPod Nano. I really miss that perfect device, which was great for work outs. The use case for this device is workouts. This is a very basic and focused device. The output quality is good, and unless your using every high quality headset I doubt you will hear too much difference when compared to other devices like this. Loading music to the device was as easy as plugging it into your computer (a Mac in my case) and drag-drop. It has lasted a week so far with 2hrs of use a day. This is a great device in its category, that is a great for workouts.

My wife wanted something small for playing music while building jigsaw puzzles at the dining room table or working in her sewing room. The 8GB Clip Jam is perfect, giving her something that is small but still provides excellent quality sound. With it's large capacity it holds all her favorite music albums and singles on it. The ease of use makes it simple to use and allows various playing options. Being portable she is also able to take it all around the house as needed. She is very pleased with the results.

Battery lasts a long time. Great sounds. Great price. Perfect size. Easy to use. Goes everywhere without a worry especially for working out at a gym. Does not hinder workout, if it gets lost or something else happens to it, no big deal. Can't say that about a smart phone or stupid smart watch that is too tiny to see anything and has too many features that I don't need. Just want some music to workout to. This is the perfect gadget for jamming.

I have used the SanDisk family of MP3 players for a long time. I have only had one of them die a natural death (after 6+ years) and I have several more doing different duties! Pros: Pay attention to the features I describe; I like the non-bluetooth models for the mini-jack and expandable (external) memory 1) The models that take an external SD card are great. It is possible to store WEEKS of audio on a large enough card. I store some music and podcasts, but primarily I store audio books and audio dramas. I only use the MP3 format. 2) The mini-jack for headphones also makes it possible to connect to other devices (speakers, AUX inputs). I connect one of my players to a set of powered speakers to listen to audio from a fixed location. It is also possible to play through a dedicated AUX input in a car, but pay attention to the road first! 3) Battery Life is excellent; I can't say I've run one 24 hours, but a single (full) charge will easily last for one days worth of listening. I've only observed a diminishing of battery life after 5 years of intense use. If you aren't mobile, the device can be connected to a charging line for power. The caveats: 1) The interface is straightforward, but NON-INTUITIVE. I am comfortable setting up directory structures and naming conventions of the files I want to listen to; I would never dump all of the files in a single directory and try to make sense of them. I gave a player as a gift to one person who HATED the interface... this is not a touch-screen cell phone! 2) Putting files on the player requires an external device; I use a Windows PC that connects through USB to put the files I want in the locations I want them. You have to have some comfort level with doing this yourself or you will get frustrated. 3) The FM receiver works, but it relies on the wired headphones to work (as the antenna). I can't recommend it the FM function unless you are in an area of strong FM signals. 4) The other functions (timer, stopwatch, calendar) all work, although the calendar/clock won't keep particularly accurate time. 5) Audio levels: The device is designed to play through non-powered headphones. There is both a volume control and an internal boost setting. It is possible to set volume high enough to damage hearing, but if connecting through an AUX port you will need powered speakers. 6) Audio file formats: as noted above, I only use the MP3 format. I have noticed that occasionally an MP3 file will not play on this device. This has only happened with some 'ancient' MP3s and with a very few number of 'modern' podcasts. The common factor is that the originator of the MP3 is not careful in the construction of the file (e.g. a certain 'ad choice' company does some weird things to insert ads in podcasts of a certain vintage). I have found that it is possible to repair/correct those MP3s with a PC; this is beyond the scope of this review, but I wanted to mention it as a possible reason why some files may not play on the device.

A friend of mine gave me a SanDisk MP3 player 10 years ago, and when it finally broke down, I decided to buy another one for myself. It's simple to use; it holds a lot of music; it's compact and the price is incredibly reasonable. For someone like me, who has no interest in expensive Apple products, it's the perfect vehicle for me to have music as I walk back and forth to the gym or when I'm traveling. And the new SanDisk is more sophisticated, with more features than my old one, so I am even more pleased.

Easy to load music with computer USB Connection, Charges anytime connected to Computer or USB phone charging station, holds more music than I have in my Music Library, Use it Walking, Biking, cleaning house, clips to your clothing easy, makes chores not as hard because you are listening to your favorite Tunes. Reasonable Cost and it just works. This is my third SanDisk MP3 Player, the last one lasted more than Six (6) years.

I needed a simple MP3 player that I could use when I am on the trendmill or stairclimber. I usually put my phone in the locked box near the front desk or left it in my car charging. I can say that this fit the bill. I can add more songs to the device itself or add a micro SD card. The UI is very simple. When adding songs it is pretty much drag and drop unless you use Windows Media player. Battery life is decent. The included earbuds are meh. I replaced them with some sweatproof headphones. For the price it is decent. Just wish it had bluetooth so I could use my TWS earbuds but it is not a dealbreaker.

This is my 3rd time purchasing this device (I lost the first two over the years lol). I really like this device. Great price, holds lots of music, and most of all, the size is just right for my workouts. I just clip it on and get going. So lightweight. I like that I can create 3 different playlists.

I've bought many of these for my Dad, because he loves them! They are durable, hold a ton of songs, and SanDisk Clip Jam sounds great! They are a great gift. Dad listens to his songs while he mows, and when he goes to bed! It has a clip on it, so, normally he just clips it to his pocket! It's also easy to put songs on it.

Gave these to my daughters for Christmas. Lightweight, easy to use; they love having the option for the radio as well. The earbuds are generic and somewhat uncomfortable for kids; we switched to regular, over the ear headphones and they are very happy. Great bang for the buck!

Nice little MP3 player that I'll attach to my Audio/ Public Address System. Now I can bring music to our band gigs. It's nice to be able to fill in sound tracks between band performances. The hook up was easy and sound was great. Loading music to the player is easy. I have over four hours on this device. Nice little product.

I fell in love with the first generation of the Sansa Clip, and this one is still great: incredibly lightweight, decent sound quality, and durable. I love the ability to use a micro-SD card to expand the memory size and the ability to search by folder and file name rather than tags. For a portable mp3 player I can keep with me all the time, it doesn't get much better than this.
