Like so many, I love my smartphone. Maybe even too much at times. And sometimes I end up giving it more of my time and focus than is healthy and I need a buffer. For me, this mp3 player is proving to be an excellent buffer! One of the first things I’m asked is “Why not just use your phone for that podcast/book/etc.?”. For me, the answer boils down to two words -- “focus” and “discipline”. Focus: With a dedicated mp3 player I find it much easier to focus on what I’m doing and to take-in exactly the information I want to take-in without interruption: Whether that be an astronomy podcast, audiobook, or specific music for a workout or to relax. So why not just mute notifications on your phone? Discipline: For me, I just find it too easy to pick up my phone with the intent to do one thing only to find that I end up doing that and more and spending more time on my phone than I originally intended. This is a matter of personal discipline, and I find the temptation to just “check my phone” too tempting at times, so having a dedicated mp3 player helps me to avoid getting myself off track at the gym or work. Neither of these issues are the smartphone’s fault, this mp3 player just helps me to help myself. With those goals in mind I picked this mp3 player. It’s very small, the built-in clip is so useful, the FM radio keeps me in touch with live news without interrupting notifications, and it’s spacious enough for many hours of locally-stored podcasts, books, and music to keep my mind engaged in the world around me without the distracting interaction and temptation of a smartphone. There is an upscale version of this mp3 player that also includes Bluetooth audio to add some wireless flexibility if that interests you. The battery life is fantastic too. My most common personal use is to set my phone down when I get to work, set it to do not disturb, and then to fire up this mp3 player in radio mode and listen to local news and talk while I work. I can easily get through my entire work day on a single charge, and with no notifications directly in my ear it really helps me start my day off focused. Yes, I still have to deal with phone calls and e-mail notifications at work... but at least I’m getting paid for those. :-)

The Only Pro: it is very well built, Strong. Con: No User Manual, No Instructions on How To Load Files. No way to know how to operate device.

Works great except the clip broke easily. Previous model held up much better. Junk.

I cannot really say anything about this product. I returned it to get the one that can connect via Bluetooth.

In the box is the MP3 player, a pair of headphones and a charge cord. The best part for me is the clip. Just clip on and listen. You can download different formats of music and record. It fits in the palm of your hand and it’s lightweight, so it won’t pull your shirt down. Headphones come with the player but I highly recommend you use another pair. The sound is so much better, especially if you use ear buds. Also keep in mind that this product does not have Bluetooth, so you will need a Bluetooth adapter if you want Bluetooth. Overall, this was a great present for my Dad because it’s has a couple of buttons and they are self explanatory for what they do and the screen shows him what he is listening too. Also the music was easy to load for him.

I use my player in an older car that only has an auxiliary input. I connect the headphone output of the player to the input on the car. It sounds great, has plenty of space to store all my music, and is easy to operate without looking at the buttons. I didn't time it but the battery seems to last more than 8 hours easily.

This a great product, service at Best Buy was great. I will definitely recommend it.

this was a nice addition to my roadtrip gear. hooked it up to the aux port in my car and played with no repeating for almost a day. love the fact that I don't have to go through some funky music program to get the songs loaded or have them converted to something I can't play with anything else. Great sound and very small. I like the size since I can put it in my pocket, jacket or dashboard and not have it taking up precious room. would recommend to anyone that does not have a MP3 player or just needs something light to go with them to the gym.

Holds lots of music but seeing titles is non-existent.

I have not owned an mp3 player in years. This is so much better than the mp3 players I remember. The radio station option and the ability to preset and save your stations is awesome. I love how you can see the song that is playing and the artist, just like in your car. It also has voice recording, which is great for people who are in school and want to record the lectures and listen to them later while studying. The voice recording is actually pretty clear so you don't have to use up your phone memory or have disruptions when a call comes in. You can make your own playlists and save them. It also has a feature for books and audible books so you can listen to them on here instead of your phone. Its so small and doesn't take up much space so its not some big extra device you have to carry around. The volume actually gets pretty loud too. I'm only using the headphones that came with the mp3 player and it gets pretty loud. The headphones itself are decent, nothing fancy, but they do the job and they stay in your ear pretty good too. Overall I would say this is a great mp3 player and I would def recommend it to others. I love how small it is and it comes with a clip so you can attach it to your shirt or the collar of your shirt when exercising.

I am so disappointed in the quality of this device. Not user friendly.

Tried downloading music from two different laptops. Could not get this thing to sync or download anything. Ended up returning it. Even if it had worked properly, it is still not worth the money. Overpriced and seriously tiny.

Ripped off! It worked for 3 days, then froze while playing a song, could not be turned OFF & the control buttons stopped working. I am returning it for a refund & will likely not order another one.

I find this to be great when out doing yard work or going for a walk around the park and lake. It’s also great hooked up through the auxiliary port in the car. There are just times you don’t want to have your phone with you and this fills in that gap. It hold a ton of music and the FM receiver is nice for hitting local broadcasts and works quite well in our area. My one wish would be that it had the ability to use bluetooth headphones when you didn’t want to listen to the radio, as the wired earbuds are it’s antenna.

Did not like - it keeps losing its ability to run, we keep having to hard refresh and then reload the device.

Would not allow me to create/save/edit a playlist in the order I wanted. Very simple on iPods, but all support to do this with the SanDisk related to Windows not from a Mac. I returned the product.

bad, bad . gets stuck/lost when listening to audio with lots of chapters. Will never go back to start at chapter when when you start a new book.

The product was defective. The radio stopped working. I returned it and it was determined that the product was defective. A refund was issued.

Lasted about a month then died. Check the internet, common problem. Save your money.

I did not get a chance to use it for a couple of weeks and it didn't work at all. I would not buy again.
