I am a teacher and own the 2 and two 4 gig models of this flash drive which are still going strong. I went to the Sandisk website and dumped the ubiquitous U3 software which I found annoying. I bought the 8 gig model on sale (2 of them!) and expect the same ease and dependability I have experienced with the other Sandisk flash drives.

I've had this 8GB flash drive for a month now and so far no problems. Bought a couple due to the awesome price. Thanks Best Buy!

I have never had problems with SanDisk flash drives and they always seem to have the best prices. This was no exception.

It's been working great for my storage needs. It's been recognized through several of my computers. No problems at all so far.

First of all I'm No Computer Genius By Any Means But I Can TeLL You This, "THESE DRIVES FOR BEST PERFORMANCE MUST OR SHOULD BE PLUGGED INTO A USB 2.0 INPUT" I Have A 1 YR. Old Dell (About A $1,300.00 Desktop) And Plugged Mine Into A USB Input Which Was Located On The Front Of The BOX \ CPU, It Gave Me A Message That The Drive Would Perform Better And Faster Plugging It Into A 2.0 Input. So I Put It Into A (2.0) 4-Port Hub AND IT WORKED GREAT !! Which Told Me USB Inputs On The Front Of Your Desktop Are Rated At 1.0 Why ??? Because The Computer Manuf. Figures Front Ports Will Most Likely Be Used For Headphones, Microphones, Etc.,Or Items Where Speed Doesn't Make Much Of A Difference. Don't Let Me Confuse You Even On Front Ports THEY ARE 1.0 AND 2.0 COMPATABLE BUT, WHEN IT DETECTS YOUR PLUGGING IN A "DRIVE" The Inputs Kind Of Take On A Mind Of There Own.**** BY THE WAY, THE USB INPUTS ON THE "BACK OF YOUR BOX ARE 99.9% OF THE TIME (2.0).**** AND THAT IS FROM A DELL TECH. Always happy with Sandisk thumb drives. 8 GB is just the right storage for my needs.

I wanted a back-up to the CDs I burned all my photos onto. I have over 8,000 photos and was able to put all of them on this disk and still have room left over. I had no problem setting it up, transferring my photos onto it and then viewing them on it and I am computer illiterate. I love it.

It has been very helpful to store my pictures and pdf docs!

8gb of space is a perfect size to carry around (I have larger and smaller capacity ones and use this the most). The U3 software lets me use programs on multiple computers without having to install on each...especially good for my work computers. The capless design also is less stressful, don't have to worry about losing your cap. Overall a good deal, and worth every penny.

What can I really say about this drive? It was an excellent price and it just works. It's fast, it's reliable, it's sturdy. Out of all the flash drives I have owned, this one ranks right up near the top. It may even be the best.

I've own other Sandisk USB thumb drives before and continued to turn to them when I need large USB storage. What I particularly like is the included secure encryption software. This latest software has a separate section to store encrypted files. Which means I can have files loaded without encryption that are readily accessible. My previous Sandisk encryption software secured the whole drive. So it is nice to have both on the drive but it is an extra step to move files onto the encrypted section. Remember to periodically backup your files. I forgot and it cost $900 minimum to recover them.

I use these to give to customers of my photography business. I have never had a problem with them corrupting like I have with other flash drives. The price is great so I buy them in bulk!

Much needed backup storage for computer files. Works real well. Great storage for anyone to use.

Simple to use. Just plug into usb port and you are set. Good price. I would suggest a higher capacity if using it for photos or music. I just needed for documents and 8gb was plenty.

For years, I have always had trouble choosing between PNY and SanDisk, they both offer great products, however, I have always thought that people can ALWAYS have a great product from SanDisk, the warranty terms will ensure that you buy the best of the best, you can be sure that your files are safely stored. (of course only if you are prudent, no one can ensure your files if your USB ports are next to a heater, or the computer's cooling vents, which are very hot in some cases) My final opinion on this product, is that it's great, and cheap enough.

Makes life easy when you need to transfer files. Has just enough memory for what I need it for. Nice for storing pictures or music files or whatever you may need it for. Would recommend

While browsing around the store I found this nice 8gb flash drive for a great price. I bought one for each of my kids to throw into their school backpacks.
