Speed is fast, and easy to carry. If you have a chance, I will recommend you buying a bigger capacity SSD

If you have a USB 3 port on your computer, and are looking for a very fast external SSD drive, this is for you. It’s faster than my internal 7200 rpm hard drive. Paying almost $100 for a 250gb external drive is on the high side, but if you need a fast transfer rate, this drive will do the job.

I was looking for flash drives and came across this one on sale. I like the compact size, quality of build, size of storage and write speed! I have had great luck with Sandisk products from doing digital photography and this is no different! Great product!

For the price am very impressed in low profile design, portability and speed of transferring large files. I use this as a back up for important files and am very happy with the design, performance and light weight.

I replaced the cable with a usb 3.0 usb c adapter, and this thing flies. I use this as a scratch disk in photoshop along with saving final renderings. Very much thee best thing since usb c.

The Extreme 500 has blistering fast transfer speeds for a USB drive. Very small and easy to carry around, though I do wish it came with a slimmer, easier to pack tightly, USB cable.

It is good for large files. If you want to copy some files fast this is the way to go.

This drive is awesome. Very compact and works very very fast. Haven't had any issues what so ever.

Small and reliable. I boot a Mac off the drive with no issues.

I couldnt believe that something so small and light could be so fast at the same time. Great design. Shame the cable isn't usb3.0 on both ends and if you lose it then, errmm, not sure how easy it will be to replace. Overall very happy with price and speed.

When I bought a new laptop I choose one with an ssd but 250 GB was not enough foer my purpose. So I bought 2 250 GB San Disc external SSDs, one for backup and the othr for photo and video files - I am pleased with this setup!

This is without a doubt the fastest hard drive I have ever used. It is also extremely simple to use. Just plug it in and drop and drag the files. Great product!

So, I purchased this instead of paying the difference to add to computer. Simple to use, downloads fast with MAC so cheaper than spending on computer.

Nice little drive. I have a big iMac computer, PC, laptop and MacBook Pro. No problem. I do cell and PC extraction and analysis and the it is plenty fast.

This is very handy to have in your day to day work activities. lightweight small and a nice addition for backing up and storing files on my PC.

Inclusion of usb c is a must for storage. Every new drive needs to have one. Hard to go back to typical usb speeds after this

Small, light, portable with no need for external power. Works as it should with no issues at all.

Needed to have a light easy to carry storage for backup which just can be tossed in a bad. This works perfectly.

I decided to replace our existing external (5+ year old) hard drive before it failed. When I realized that we had only used about 120GB of our 1 TB drive for regular back-ups, I decided that a smaller SSD drive would suffice. The price on this Sandisk 250GB SSD was pretty good. It is light-weight and small. Our computer recognized it right away. It was an easy switch-over.

This was purchased to replace a 10 year old one. I think it works fine.. It is so tiny compared to the old one.
