I got this SD card to use in our underwater camera mainly to record video, but it will also increase my ability to snap pictures faster because of its fast write time. The fastest one I have right now writes at 15 MB/sec. This one writes at 40 MB/sec. That is almost 3 times faster. Of course both of these ratings are the good old "writes up to X MB/sec", so I may not be seeing those actual speeds. However, I do notice a difference. Underwater that is important. Once you are out of battery you are out, and unless the dive is a really deep or difficult one (lots of current), I always run out of battery before I run out of air. Another issue is overheating the camera which can fog up the case lens. The faster card helps the camera get ready to take pictures quicker, so I can turn it off for a while to let it cool down. I still may miss a great shot if something like an Eagle Ray goes flying by. All in all I am happy with the card and recommend it to anyone who needs a little performance boost in their camera.

Wait for a sale and get this memory card! They go on sale all the time and the price makes it sooo with it. It has moderat storage and a higher speed transfer rate. Which means (in a DSLR) you can take lots of pictures faster. No more waiting around for your camera to transfer the picture you just took to the memory card, so you can take your next picture. You can take picture after picture with little to no wait!

This SD card has a fast write speed. I have never had any issues with lag between pictures

Bought this on a flash sale before Christmas for an AWESOME price of $20. I have been using this memory card in my Canon t6i and have no complaints. I shoot high quality JPEG and RAW on each shot, and there is minimal lag time between shots. And the lag time occurs only when you would expect it -- when shooting continuous shots. Download to PC seems to be pretty fast as well, although I haven't put it to the test of downloading a full card.

The speed of this card is what I wanted and it delivers. I need to offload video very quickly to get it up on the web as fast as possible for my job - I'm not a fan of SD cards in general because Compact Flash cards are so much more rugged but the market is mostly going SD and some of the gear I use requires it. If offloading video quickly to your computer is your goal and you need an SD card this is a great option.

I've used so many brands of memory cards and they always seem to eventually fail or have some sort of problem. But never with Sandisk. I got 1 of these for my Canon Rebel T3i, Rebel T6s and another one for my 5Dmkiii and have had no problems yet. Its super fast enough for video on these cameras so don't make the mistake of buying a cheaper and slower memory card and wonder why it keeps stopping when recording video.

Just a heads up, the current model being sold has a speed transfer of 80mb/s not 45mb/s. Upgraded from the Pixtor to the extreme & my Canon T3i feels like a new camera!

This memory card will hold thousands of pictures and at an excellent price!

I was wanting a faster card for my Canon SX 160 IS. Pictures are great with this card!
