I DJ a lot and always have 3-4 backup USB hard drives. At first, my DJ software did not recognize my music folders or (or vice -versa). A folder with 700 songs would take over a minute to appear. The larger the folder, the longer it took. I almost returned the drive, as I was told as well as read that SSD’s were smoking fast. After a few reboots and file scans using Virtual DJ, all is working well. I suggest a case to be in your budget as this thing is small. You could easily lose or misplace it.

Use the cable it came with (or a carefully selected longer one if you’re like me and hate short drive cables). I initially used a different, quality cable and was disappointed in the speed. Plugged in the cable from the box and re-transferred 2 hours worth in roughly 3 minutes. Also the drive is so small and light I thought I got an empty box. LOVE this drive. It’s a 4TB miracle lol.
