    Easy upgrade for my gaming laptop. Accurate speed rating and the laptop benchmark is now much higher that with the factory installed ssd. There seems to be an increase in temperature but, the fans in the laptop run higher to keep the laptop comfortable to the touch. For the sale price, the drive is worth it. At full price, I would have explored other options before buying this particular unit.

    Bought this when a number of discounts were active to replace my 500GB M.2 in my laptop. Laptop had only one m.2 slot. Plays all the games without issue.

    I used the WD clone software at the WD site and it did a perfect clone of my laptop internal M.2 2280 to a external USB C external case. Also used the WD software to monitor the M.2 stick and pull the serial number for registration. Be advised all drives are dropping in price but this one is outstanding.
